Ruling on Jynx's pokebody

If Jynx UF is an evolved pokemon would it prevent Rayquaza ex's attack? What exactly is an effect of an attack? Is it anything that is in writing under a pokemon's attack? For Example, Electrode ex does 30+ for each energy you discard from your pokemon in play. If Electrode ex was going up against an evolved Jynx could Electorde ex only do 30 damage because everthing else is an effect?

No everything written under an attack is not an effect. Sometimes it is instructions on how to calculate damage - Crash & Burn would still add 20 damage for every energy card discarded.

duuuuuude. damage calcuation isnt an effect, it is considered damage, so trode ex can discard 2 energy, and hit for 70 damage. jynx's body doesnt prevent that.

Thanks for your info. What about Rayquaza ex's attack for 20x or Dusclops ex's placing of damage counters?

Placing damage counters is an effect of an attack, so it would be stopped by Jynx if evolved.

Basically, any and all actual damage from the attack goes through. Anything else (a Special Condition, placing of damage counters as stated above, anything where an effect resides on Jynx and not your opponent's Pokemon) is blocked.
