Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Sad to say this about Super Smash Bros

The lag really kills online play. Sometimes you'll have almost no lag, other times you press the button....wait..... then the attack happens. Nintendo really needs to get better with their online stuff.

^I can't say how many times I played Ike and got knocked off the platform during an A-A-A combo, only to see him using his Nair instead of Aether. >.<

A-A-A Combo on Ike is about the only legit move he has in terms of it hitting the opponent and from what I experience playing him, its about the only way it opens up other combos most of the time. This is the theme with all characters though, not just ike.

Lag kills all online play, seriously. I can't think of a single competitive fighting game that isn't completely ruined by lag. Why are you complaining about it in brawl, when every single game can't deal with it? No real competitive player takes online play in any fighting game seriously anyway.

You might have a point, but lag dont kill every game, least not as bad as this one.

I play online games all the time and this is just maybe the 2nd game I have seen where the lag in it is to a point where it cant be taken seriously.

Least what players play on games like Delta Force, COD series, Halo, is going to be the same players you play on LAN because lag hardly affects those.

Same goes for World of Warcraft to.

Yah, but in fps games you don't have a community that does nothing but raise **** when they can't do a just frame. Online play for any fighting game is almost illegitimate for that exact reason.

Like others said, Nintendo sucks with anything to do with online play because this is their first time as Sony and Microsoft did and Microsoft makes computers so they know what they are doing. We should make a ladder for Pokemon and Smash here because things can be more controlled here. I'll help you with those rules Ricky.

I like to see a smash tournament or ladder for that matter where items is legal.

No smash balls though.

I prefer single player. The best thing from a game ever where the announcer says Team followed by a character. Team Metaknight! And yeh, that does happen.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Smash balls are FUN. Why play without them?

And this is why I only play the game casually.

No one memorizes how to do 'competitive' things like L-Cancel, or wavedashing. We stick to the basics, making basic dodging and rolling seem more advanced.

We never bother to look for 'infinite combos' and the like, we just brawl.

I'll bet that in less than a year there will be a version of Brawl that is no where near as glitchy that will please you. They fixed most of Melee's, I see gigalypuff/most other glitches leaving the scene permanently.

If there is going to be a ladder here, it will have to be with "no" items at all unless both parties can agree to use items. Like they said, Fox, Wolf, Falco's Final Smash are broken, I mean, who calls a tank on someone. Sonic, Yoshies, Warios, and ROBs are broken, some have OHKO's and stuff like that. Kirby has the most fair Final Smash in the game I think.

Items show no skill. All items show is "who got lucky enough to be next to the hammer/heart when it showed up?".

BTW, just the thought of playing against Pikachu or ToonLink with items makes me sick. >_>

That's the spirit. :thumb:

Casual brawling ftw!

But it cant be anymore luck then what it is now without items.

the advantages and disadvantages I have seen in this game now with the usual 3 stock, 8 min time limit, limited to 6 stages I think it is, is just completely ridiculous.

I beginning to wonder if some items thrown in wont even up game play, at least from the online perspective.
