Salamence D better than Charizard D?

What is your guys opinion?

I have 3 of each. And have tried a lot of decks with both them but the one that seems to work the best is Salamence D with Metagross. I tried both with Flygon D, and Flygon D just doesn't fly.

Doesn't matter what deck they are in.

120 damage is better then 100 damage. Charizard δ for me.

He goes well with flygon, it sets up blazingly fast.

I have to go with Salamence as well. Fire Dance is much more useful than Charizard's power, and since you only discard one energy with its attack, it is much easier to power up other's on your bench.

I've always been of the opinion that Salamence overshadows Charizard. Easier attack cost at comparable damage, supporting attack (decent one at that), better resistances (better weakness?), yes please. All Charizard really has going for it is its chancey power.

i have to go with Sally
it can retreiver energy, and has cooler preevo's
=p
and i think its weakness is a bit better than charizards.

yeah sally can combine nicely with flygon D but although charizard can combine nicely with metagross D as well. They are both good in their own way so.... i guess i would have to say salamence over charizard since theres also sallygross.

I know Charizard hass some potential but at the moment it is no doubt Salmence d. Sallygross is demonic when it gets going, though Charizard's ability to attach up to 5 Energy at once can be quite explosive...

120 ensures OHKOS on most pokes...100 doesn't. And zard can get t1 100-120...if you get really lucky. I personaly, with my love of zard, pick him over sally...Biggest reason is 120 and a nice power (especially if you play 18+ energy), and swarming is easier because of the power. Farmer would be a must...

Yeah, but how are you supposed to keep doing 120? Either with DRE (which reduces it to a less reliable number) or Magnetrode (which requires a combo). Not to mention the new susceptibiity to Crystal Beach.

Ummm, use metagross? You have dark metal, delta rainbow, holons pokes, dre, scramble...the list goes on. You should be able to draw all 6 prizes with your energy...And crystal beach..please....BF is worst.

Fine, but using Metagross hogs your energy resources, making it so that when your hitter in front goes down, you probably don't have much else in fighting shape. Or if you're using 2 Metagross, your Charizard is decaying a bit too rapidly, I'd say.

Not really, the next Charizard powers itself up with its power. 8)

Salamence D, end of dscussion. Salamence is just better, Charizard is ok but to reliant on his power unlike Sally.

what...Charizards power is an added bonus...It makes zard much more appeling...And face it, zard line>Sally line. With zard, you can tech in memory berry to make that "decaying" into a benefit...Damage is not nessicarly a punishment...Zard can also attack with metagross d (an obvious tech). Why is everyone sooo excited about holon circle? As far as I'm consered, the only decks that can even run it are speedy decks, but they probly would rather play cursed stone/giant stump (Best staduim in the format).

I’ve personally looked at both of the cards myself, and I have to personally got with Salamence δ myself.

Salamence δ does only provide 100 damage, but for one less energy discard. Having to discard another Metal Energy for only 20 more damage doesn’t really appeal to me.

Yes, there are many ways to provide another “Metal Energy” but who would really run a deck that contains many ways to provide metal when they would all be discarded when attached to Charizard δ for an attack?

I believe that once Salamence δ is out of the format (like next season), Charizard δ may then prevail. Until then I will personally stick with Salamence δ and Metagross δ.

i choose charizard
because he can do up to 120... which is how much Hp a stage2 usually have, and some stage 2 has 110 which he can ohko with DRE
but salamence D can only doeal 100 which will need another atk to K.O the oppenent
I would go with charizard 100%

wow 20 extra damage =p
with sally they can retreive their energy WHILE not discarding cards from their deck =/
+sally has way better stats overall.
water weakness FTL ;/
i just really think sally is alot more stable and can handle alot more decks than charizard.
atleast Charizard beats sally in the Art department ;P
