You need ways to get to your Articuno ex and Moltres ex - that means Dual Ball. I see your idea. I suggest you take advantage of Weaknesses to get OHKOs. I have to test the deck myself. I have tested Salamence, but not like this. I envision a turn 2 Salamence - turn 3 Moltres ex or Articuno ex. Keep working on it.

I'll throw my 2 cents in.

I like it a lot. But I have two concerns.

First, I'm right there with you on Parasect. 4-4 Paras/Parasect plus 4 Celio's Network. I keep wondering if there would be some way to throw in 2 Wally's Training. Not sure what to take out, but that would give you even more chance of getting that BRUTAL 2nd turn Parasect.

Energy - You REALLY NEED a Grass Energy on that Paras, so Parasect can do its Energy Powder. But you've only got 4 Grass Energy (and you really don't want to have to burn a DRE on a Parasect that already has another basic energy on it). Is there any way to add more Grass (maybe go 4 Fire, 4 Water, and 6 Grass) or maybe use Multi or Rainbow (I realize that they don't work with Moltres/Articuno, but you've really got to get that Parasect with a Grass on the 2nd turn).

Thank you will i apreiate it i get the birds with pidgeot.

Dave - I couldn't agree more, ill play you with it this saturday (I kind of took your PArsect/pidgeot/trainer engine we were talking about but i changed it around a tad.

But everyone this is really a fun deck that is semi competitive.

im starting to get a bit angry that people thing pidgeot can go into just about any deck. this deck is no exception. youre already running one 3-stage evolution line and you want to run another one. here's my fix on the deck:

Pokemon x23
3 Paras
3 Parasect
4 Bagon
3 Shelgon
4 Salamance
1 Moltres ex
1 Articuno ex
4 Dunsparce

Trainers x18
3 TV Reporter
3 Stevens Advice
3 Rare Candy
2 Celio's Network
2 Prof. Oak's Research
2 Vs Seeker
2 Switch
1 Energy Recycle System

Energy x19
4 Double Rainbow
6 Fire Energy
6 Water Energy
3 Multi Energy

Okay my list and 2 cents(why not 3)
4 Bagon
2 Shelgon
3 Salamence
3 TA chinchou
3 TA Lanturn
3 Dunsparce
2 Zapdos ex
1 Moltres
21 pokemon

3 Briney's compassion
3 POR
2 Energy Recycle System
4 Steven's advice
3 Bill's maintenance
3 Rare candy
2 Celio's network
3 Vs seeker
23 trainers

4 DRE
7 fire
8 lightning

I'm going to have to agree with Blizzard. Pidgeot is nice but it really isn't needed. The idea is speed over set up so lets work off his list:

Pokemon x17
4 Paras
3 Parasect
3 Bagon
2 Shelgon
3 Salamance
1 Moltres ex
1 Articuno ex

Trainers x25
4 TV Reporter
4 Stevens Advice
3 Rare Candy
3 Celio's Network
3 Vs Seeker
2 Dual Ball
2 Prof. Oak's Research
2 Lady Outing
2 Switch

Energy x18
4 Double Rainbow
6 Fire Energy
6 Water Energy
2 Grass

If the deck goes through 4 Salamance in one game call me and I'll give you a cookie. 3 Energy deck? Lady Outing. Screw sparce, paras all the way. You can figure out the rest.

kyogre i know your not cretequing this deck beat your monarchy.
But pidgeot has saved me so many times i gust out some then free retreat and stall with pidgeot plus thats what i get the birds with. I do like the lanturn thought though but i use parasect to power up salamnce turn 2-3 . Keep the thoughts coming.

Actually that was an unbias fix. I don't play monarchy any more anyway. I'm just saying the pidgeot line may slow it down but if your playtesting shows differently then far be it from me to say otherwise.

Let me say this about Pidgeot - I like it, a lot. But lately I've been going with a 1-0-1 line (and 4 Rare Candies for it and other things). It's not a card that you should rely on having, but when you have it, it's pretty incredible. You're able to get exactly the card you want EVERY turn.

DS, you're not going to believe this, but we're not going to be at the 10 Box tournament tomorrow. Caitlin has a tae-kwon-do tournament she's competing in. Oy!

That's why I recommend just splashing it in.

But first, it's easy to get a Pidgey. Just pull it with the Paras attack.

It's easy to get a Pidgeot - Celio's Network.

The tough thing is getting the Rare Candy.

Once you have Pidgeot, getting the 2nd Stage 2 out is no problem.

hence the Pigeooto Dave, lol too bad you wont be there i needed a grass deck to beat all the moanrchy thats going to be floting around owell. Wish Caitlan luck for me.
