Hey everyone, this is my first report so bear with me
Last Sunday I played at Modesto and failed horribly so I went back to my Scizor deck. That failed pretty badly after play testing with too many dead hands. I decided to play Dusknoir again so I made some changes after taking the SAT yesterday [It's SO BORING]. I knew had to play Dusknoir better after I got a bit more testing and made some changes to it. Woke up at 9AM and left at around 9:40 as registration started at 10. Met up with some friends outside the store as they wouldn't let us in yet. Got in after about 5 minutes and was first to sign up. Bought a Magic play mat as I didn't want to buy a Dragon Shield one. Traded a RH Drapion for an Ampharos as someone needed one for their deck. Pairings were posted shortly after.
6 Rounds Swiss, Top 8
Round1 VS Gengar/Drapion
I get a good start, lead with Duskull and T2 Dusknoir. He gets out a Drapion and Gengar, plays Unown G on his Drapion which later screws me over. I get a 4 prize lead by Damage Evening his Gengars, Gastlys, and Sableye. He brings out Drapion and manages to knock out my Dusknoir X and I couldn't recover. Ironic that is was the Drapion I traded him that beat me.

Round2 VS Empoleon/?
I sit down for the first 5 minutes wondering where my opponent is. Turns out that he was seated in the front room as he had a wheelchair. I make my way over there and lead with Duskull which I evolve to a Dark One-Eye Dusclops and have Baltoy benched. He leads with a Piplup and candies into an Empoleon and starts Dual Splashing my Baltoy. I play an Azelf and take Shadow Command Dusknoir and night spin, putting his Empoleon at 70. He can't draw into a basic but Cynthia's into a Roseanne's, but can't play it. I topdeck a Spiritomb and attack for game.

Went to McDonalds for lunch, was okay. Haven't eaten McDonalds for so long, normally at Taco Bell
Round3 VS Roguish Kingdra
Got a godly start to his decent start. Match was very interesting. We kept on trading KOs as he would use Palkia to Restructure and then get free retreat to anything he wanted after I picked due to Mantine. Ended up Night Spinning his Lunatone for the game as time was called. I would call this my second best game today. My first best is the one that cost my T8

Round4 VS Roserade/Crobat
Got an early Dusknoir LV. X and started Night Spinning his Golbat. I got KO'd by Roserade after I got poisoned and got hit with Deep Poison. Sent out a DP Dusknoir which I continued to sweep with as he didn't play any Unown G as it would seem.

Round5 VS Glaceon [Eeveelutions....Kinda, he just doesn't want to call it so]
Ended up playing my friend, who said he was gonna drop if he lost so I decided to basically throw the game[He was also 3-1 and said that if he lost he wouldn't make T8 and drop] Got two Duskull out and waited till he got Glaceon Lv. X out, then got Avalanche'd for double KO and got benched.

Round6 VS AMU
Definitely my best game, got a bad start compared to his good start. I ended up only getting one Dusknoir out and hiding behind a Mr. Mime[I had been contemplating using Mewtwo Lv. X instead due to AMU and Gigas, but forgot to make the change as it was almost 1am when I finished the deck]. Got my Dusknoir Lv. X knocked out just couldn’t draw into a Roseanne's, Bebe's or Duskull. Dusknoir Lv.X did a fair amount of damage as a stadium as it was out for 4 turns. My best play, and worst mistake was in this game. He had all three pixies from LA, not Lv. X, an Azelf LV. X, and an active Mespirit. All of them of his bench have 50 on them due to Dusknoir, and his active has 30. I topdeck into a Spiritomb and instantly play it down. Now his entire bench is at 60 and his active is at 40. In my excitement I forget to attack with Azelf and deal 20 to his Mespirit, which would have won me the game as I had exactly 4 prizes left. I end my turn and get 3 KOs...Next turn he bounced my Dusknoir Lv. X with a Snow Point and proceeded to mop op from there

The guy I played in the last game got T8 as someone didn't show up. My friend who I played in round 5 got T8 also, which kind of annoyed me. Waited around for my friend and traded a Magnezone Lv. X for a Regigigas Lv.X. I think I'm done with Dusknoir after placing 29/30 in Modesto and 16/38 at this one. Might give it one last shot after I make it more stable/faster.

-Dusknoir for holding out and giving almost everyone one a run for their money
-My friend Chris for going into SD when he knocked out a Gengar and his opponent rolled heads with Fainting Spell. Epic Game
-Awesome Magic: The Gathering play mat
-Meeting a bunch of cool people and playing some pretty relaxed games, despite what was on the line/at stake
-Karma for making friend from round 5 lose in T8 placing 6th[Spiteful, I know]
Slops:
-Dusknoir for not always holding out and giving everyone a run for their money
-My friend for setting an ultimatum of winning or dropping, not cool dude :/
-My other friend for throwing a temper tantrum when he lost 2 games[Not back to back]. But I guess he takes Pokemon too seriously.
In the end it was a pretty good day, I got some cards and met some new people. Got a deck idea for the next set when it's out.
