Scizor and the unknowns

Ok so one of my friends at league is playing a scizor deck and hes running Unknowns with it

Game set up:

Me: Scizor SF

Him: Scizor SF
Unknown E attached to scizor

My Question:
Scizors 2nd attack says this attack this attack does 40+30 more damage if you don't have any pokePowers in play
Since unkown e has a pokepower on it and its attached to a pokemon does the attack do +30 damage
after all a pokepower put it there

You didn't quote the attack text exactly right.
"If you don't have any Pokemon with any Poke-Powers in play..."
A power may have put it there, but now that it's a Tool, it's no longer a Pokemon!
So, he doesn't have any Pokemon with Poke-Powers in play.
