you could say the same about Sudowoodo UF( or anything fire/fighting type) vs Steelix ex.

But just because Scizor is weak to fire doesnt mean that anything fire type will destroy it. Every card has weakness but it doesnt make them unplayable. You jhust work around it.

Sides, Scizor wil easily set up to deal with the Mew. And is that all Mew POP5 can offer is to take a Scizor EX in this deck? So I assume then, by there being no argument to further this, that Mew folds to everything else in the deck? Mew won't PAWN (BTW it's pwn... pawn is a chess piece...) Scizor.

I though about what you have posted here....

I will give a specific example of 1 card that has destroyed certain decks....

Tyrogue.... NEO block. This one particular card single handedly DESTROYED any and all Electric decks that we even being considered at tournament level. It (LIKE MEW) was splashable in any deck.

Mew ex has kept Machamp decks at bay as well. No one would play it if they knew there was a "1 card tech" that could easily dismantle their deck.

Trust me when I tell you Mew d will severly hamper the play of scizor in premier events,

jimmy

Nah, she isn't going to dampen anything, she will scare them, however it will not prevent anything. Nothing is set in stone. Mew is good, but not game breaking.

I didn't play back in Neo so I wouldn't know, but I believe you.

About Machamp though, my friend Skull Bash actually played a Machamp deck at States and went 4-2 just barely missing top cut. There were alot of Flygon ex and Gardevoir there which are a bigger psychic threats than Mew ex.

And I played Scizor at states. I got 3rd and there was alot of fire going around. I'm almost possitive I saw Mew d there too.

Maybe in this kids deck, a Mew d may kill it just because he ONLY runs Scizor. But if you ran other things to help back it up Scizor isnt dead.

*Raises hand*
I don't. Of course, my metagame is vastly different to yours in the US. I'd be really asking for it if I played Scizor, with our Australian meta being so fire heavy.

I agree with Jimmy, Mew d will do well against Scizor ex, but not a lot of people play Scizor, so who cares? What else has a fire weakness that is being played? Steelix ex? Metagross ex? We already have sudowoodo that can deal with those. There really isn't even enough fire weakness out there right now to tech in a mew d. Like any deck really needs another pokemon that is weak to psychic. It's just a waste of space.

Go with t2 scizor. 4-4 scizor, 1 mag, 4 metal, 4 dark metal, 4 cyclone, 2-3 rainbow. Trainers...well, you'll have to figure that one out. And mew d will see alot of play, simpley because it can counter metanite, steelix, and anything that can ko itself in 1 hit (who can't do this?). Sick card.

Teched Mew d, Sudowoodo UF, and Ditto (Mr. Mime DS) with (Crystal Shard, Energy Root, or Strength Charm), energy accelerator (Dragonite d, Flygon d sometimes, Metagross DX), and Holon Pokemon DRE wins for no reason. :p Let's throw in Togetic d while we're at it. There. Super fun copy-fest. And who plays that?

i have never seen any mew d, sudowoodo, etc. being played ANYWHERE as a tech. but there arent really any big fire decks that would be able to take out a scizor anyways. and in mercury you just dont use the scizor when playing against fire.

unlike neo 2 tyrogue, mew does not have a baby power and mew also has a retreat cost.

i seriosuly DOUBT it will be played... just like copy sudowoodo and mr mime ditto.

forget about the (quite poor) mew :)
