Scyther Reprint

I run a Scizor deck and I wanna use the reprint of the jungle set Scyther that has been reprinted in platinum. For some crazy reason the TCG company made this new Scyther an ultra rare and it costs a pretty penny for a playset of these. I do have a couple old ones from the jungle set that are the exact same as these except it only displays a :fire: for the weakness rather than a 2x :fire:. Are these Scythers from the jungle set completely legal in tournament play or do i have to buy a playset from platinum?

You can use the old scythers.

You may use the Jungle ones. The weakness is x2 for both, as at the time that Jungle was printed, all weakness was x2.

Similarly, the original Electabuzz, Hitmonchan, and Charizard line cards from Base Set are all Modified-legal, since they were reprinted "exactly" as secret rares.

The Charizard requires a reference, as Pokemon Power is significantly different then a Pokebody
