Come enjoy the friendly competition and get the newest cards before they hit the streets!! Here's the what, when, where, how much!

Date: Sat. Oct. 29, 2005
Registration: 11:00 am -12 noon PR: starts shortly after 12 to typically 4:30 to 5 ish
Fee: $20
Location: First United Methodist Church of Sevierville, 214 Cedar Street, Sevierville, TN
What do you get for your $20? 6 packs to build your 40 card deck (basic energies provided by PTO), 4 add'l packs at the end, 2 POP2 packs, trading opportunies and tons of FUN!

As always, there will be some door prizes to give away!!

It is an easy one to find, as it is only a couple of blocks from the Community Center Location. PM if you need directions or my cell phone number if traveling into town. (Same location as the Unseen Forces PR & Emerald PR....great venue!!)

One thing I have to comment on is that there isn't that much trading time after the tournament. Last time, one guy just rushed us out right when it ended and we got very little time to trade. Many people don't like to trade inbetween rounds too. Any chance we would have extra time to trade this time?
 
Matt: He was the one with the key (and member of church). He had someplace to be later that afternoon since he is the sports editor for the local paper. I will have the key this time, so, if you are nice, maybe a bit more time afterwards to trade :thumb:

I didn't really have anything to say about your Prerelease,I just wanted to post and say that we had the pleasure of having one of your players in Memphis this Saturday.(Oct.8)His name was Spencer I believe and his name was Speedydude on this site.He was playing DX Slaking with Sceptile(EM).We welcome all visitors and If y'all happen to be in Memphis on a Saturday,come on down to the Bert Feguson community center in Cordova and play. 10am-1pm
 
Spencer is a regular at our league and he mentioned last week he was going to Memphis. Glad he met some of our fine Pokemon players from the other side of the State.

Geez - I'm glad I know the rest of the folks in Memphis have a bit more courtesy - otherwise I might get a bad impression from your one bad example. Is that really you DeMarion? I thought better of you...

Memphis has the reputation of great, sportsmanlike players...let's keep the reputation clean.

I was surprised at the comment - I really do think highly of DeMarion. Maybe just a slip - or at least I hope so...

Hmmmm - I may have extra cards... I might just decide to stay over to go leaf watching the next day.
Let's say maybe - depending on interest and plans go according... How many of y'all would like a draft after the main play?

Unfortunately Demarion is becoming a...."teenager"...sometimes they type before they think.
 
Like I said earlier, I'd die for a draft afterwards. I'm only going to be able to go to one pre-release for this set and any cards I can get for it is good, and I have the money for it too, so it's all good. Let's hope it happens. If not, that's cool too.
 
Jon: We can certainly try to see what interest there would be in one (extra draft afterwards). I will need to check with the Church to see if it would be a problem or not staying a bit later. Will LYK. I think we would have at least 8 to do a Rochester if we wanted to Jon, maybe more to do a separate booster or 2 Rochesters (2 pods of 8). We can see. Talk to you later.

PS On the wooper/spencer thing. I have spoken with Demarion via PM and he was just kidding around. He found Spencer to be cool and a good player. He was glad to see a visitor from the East side come to the West side. In fact, Demarion wanted to know if it was feasible to have a tourney in Nashville so that east and west could play at same tourney. Told him it would be up to Jon, Clay and others to set that up. Vince, you know those kids better than anyone, they arent bad at all, just "typing under the influence of teendom". :biggrin:

Well, im glad spencer got to know some of the fine players from memphis! And i'd be glad to see them visit us! Either way i believe this is gonna be an awesome tourney, and yeah the after-ward booster draft would rock!!!

Maybe anyone caught trash talking will have to wear a LuvDisc the rest of the tourney.
