Shadow Stitching vs Shining Body

Let's say a Raikou (BKT 55) with a lightning energy attached is attacked with "Shadow Stitching" from an opposing Greninja (BKP 40). Is the effect of "Shining Body" shut off, or does the effect of "Shadow Stitching" not take place until after damage calculation?

For reference:

Shadow Stitching: Until the end of your opponent's next turn, each Pokémon your opponent has in play, in his or her hand, and in his or her discard pile has no Abilities. (This includes cards that come into play on that turn.)

Shining Body: If this Pokémon has any Lightning Energy attached to it, any damage done to this Pokémon by attacks is reduced by 20 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).

For an attack, Damage is applied first and then Effects are done.
So, in this case, the damage is done, and reduced, and then Shining Body is turned off (too late).
