Hey guys, here's my Nats report.
I leave Thursday around noon and wait for my plane to leave. Check into my hotel room with TheDarkTwins, Benlugia, Zappitto, and Snowball. After about five minutes of them I shoot myself in the face and there's nothing left to report.
Just kidding - I love Pokemon too much to do that.
I leave the room soon after and traverse the convention hall buying stuff and trading. Playing a bit.
I try to go to sleep on the floor that night but certain people keep me awake. I get very little sleep.
I make my professor deck. There's not much left in my binder so I go with Plusle/Medicham ex/Dewgong d. I look at my list and laugh a lot. I pick a random deck for my 2 on 2 since I will obviously not make it that far it is not important.
Professor Cup is fun, meet lots of professors and PTOs and what not that I didn't know. I actually won a few games. I was so surprised I won a game I gave my opponent my two packs and she pulled an Infernape X. Awesome.
Blah blah more trades, insanely high food prices.
I test my deck for the main tournament, try to hunt down Zach Fischer to no avail. Its ALMOST like he had 10 guys in the room telling him where I was so he could avoid me. I say almost because I think the actual number was 8.
Eventually I head back to the room and eat some $30 quesedillas from room service. No more room service for me.
Friday rolls along and I get up late and grab some food. I run into the Diaz family and get some breakfast while I playtest. Frank starts beating me and I'm like wait a second, this is my rogue deck. He's giving it to Michael for 10-. Coooool. Michael goes 3-1 drop with it and makes it into Worlds, so I'm cool with that.
Register blah blah you know.
Here's where the tournament comes in.
I run Dragonite ex d / Flygon d / Techs. Picture RGon with a bunch of techs replaced with Dragonite ex d and Crystal Beach. I beat Amush and Infernape and Delta and am like 50-50 with Metanite, Banette, and RGon. I figure its a safe choice.
Round 1: Henry G with Kingler d / Eevees
I mulligan twice and I get pretty worried because my start is only so/so. This guy is obviously not a competitive player, but really a Pokedad here with a kid. I see the Krabby start vs my Holon's Castform and 2 Trapinch and think "OK, well my resistance won't be great but I'll be 1-0." He goes first and flips heads to do 20 to my Casty. I know what Kingler does so I attach a Buffer and Delta Draw since I have no other trainers besides Windstorm and Farmer. He evolves to Kingler d, attaches energy, and Cessation plays a couple Eevee UF and does Body Slam for 10 (because of Buffer) and Paralyze. I draw, whiff with a Mew *, evolve my Trapinch x2 into Vibrava, play a Mew * and a Dratini d. He attachs and plays Vaporeon ex, I don't care because my hand was useless, I draw a Trans and a Flygon d. He KOs Casty, I send out Dratini d. I Scientist for like 7 and get nothing, need a Windstorm. Attach to Dratini d, try to paralyze, whiff. He KOs Dratini after attaching to Eevee and getting Flareon. I send out Vibrava d and Scientist for another 7 after playing some random tools/stadiums, basics, and stuff. Attach to Mew * and pass. He KOs Vibrava and I send out Mew *. 30 with Body Slam, whifff on Paralysis. I somehow get a Dragonite ex d out and 40 to Kingler, he does 80, I kill another Kingler he whiffs on Body Slam. He sends out Flareon d and 50/Burn, I whiff on Burn and lose 2-6. WHAT?

Round 2: Joe C w/ RGon
RGon is a fine matchup for me, this was better because he used the Psychic Trapinch. I ge a good start, he doesn't. My Dragonite ex d starts killing lots of stuff and I win 6-0.

Round 3: Dave C III w Ambush
I'm fine with Amush too, I get a T2 Flygon ex attaching, later I lock in a Crystal Beach and Giant Stump with Dragonite and he can't do anything. We play again and I win also.

Round 4: Ness's Friend w/ SpeedBan
Good matchup for me, he doesn't run Doom. I look at my hand and I see Tapinch x3, Rare Candy, Flygon d, Flygon ex d, and an Energy. Not bad! I go first, attach, 10, he goes and Ascensions. I draw a Holon's Castform and RC into Flygon d and do 60. He does like 40 plus Shady move and plays a few more Shuppets. I double attach to Trapinch d and KO his Banette ex for two prizes. He sends out Shuppet #2 attachs and plays a Banette ex onto Benched Shuppet. He Ascensions. I draw, nothing still. Double attach on other Trapinch. Do 60 to Banette ex. He kills my Flygon. I send out Trapinch, 20. He kills it. I do another 20, he kills my other Trapinch. I lose with a Flygon ex d and a Sharm Charm in my hand. >.<

Round 5: Paul N with Ape.
I get a Casty Mentor start vs his Skitty, I'm happy. He Tail Whips and whiffs. I draw, Mentor for Holon's Voltorb, Mew *, and a Trapinch, except Mew * and Voltorb are prized sooo I get some regular Pokemon d and pass. He evolves to Catty PK and does some NRG Draw, I get Draw n NRG and play some trainers and Delta Draw for 5. This continues for awhile and I start pounding him, we trade prizes. He kills my Flygon d with Delcatty ex to tie us up, and time is called. I know he has nothing besides a Catty PK and a Catty ex, I killed his Infernapes, he has a big hand though. His Catty has 40 on it, I can't think of what to do and then genius strikes. I play Mew d, attach to it, attach another Energy to my active Dragonair d, retreat so I now have 5 energy in discard, and copy his Delcatty ex's Upstream for the win.

Round 6: Ryan Simmons with Meganium / Feraligatr ex.
He gets a fast start with T2 Meganium d and a big Delta Draw. By like T4 he has a crazy bench and is pounding me, but I send out Dragonite ex and lock in a beach vs his Meganium ex with two Castforms and a Grass on it. I kill the Meganium ex because Deafen does 80 from Weakness and then time is called with us prized. He can't attack yet because of Beach, but I need to win on my turn because we're prized. Or something. I had to win that turn. I Transceiver my deck to look through it, 4 cards left. I Scientist for the last four, play a Ray ex d, double attach, attach Strength Charm, Windstorm the Beach so I can retreat Draggy, send out Ray, do 160 to his Gatr with my Ray for the win.

Round 7: Some nice dude with Metanite
Metanite is an OK matchup for me, the everything having resistance to Grass sucks but hey I run a Shard.
We Delta Draw for awhile, I send up a Flygon d and kill his Castform and then he sends out Metagross d and discards EVERYTHING to kill my Flygon. I send out Mew d and attach d Rainbow and Grass and announce my Crush and Burn to kill his Metagross, he says nono you need Metal and L and I show him the L but its still nono you already attached. No hard feelings its a tournament. I PASS. He can't attack. Now my memory is fuzzy because somehow we were tied 5-5 but I swore I killed his Metagross too. Maybe I forgot to take a prize. Anyway in the end he has an active Dragonite d with one on the bench which has 60 damage, same with a Rayquaza ex d. He also has a Metagross d with an Energy. I have a Rayquaza ex d on my bench and one Lightning in my hand. I have a Mew d active with G and d Rainbow and a Flygon d on bench. Crystal Shard in hand. I also have a Chimecho on the bench. I need to do 50 damage to active to kill it, or use Ray's attack to kill one of his bench'd Pokes. I need another Energy. I need a Trans, or a Mentor, or a Farmer, or a Sci, or an Adv, or a Researcher, or a Castform. I draw a Buffer Piece. I attach Buffer, copy his Agility, and flip TAILS. He retreats, attachs to Meta, does 90 to me for the KO.
4-3 I'm out.
R8 vs Jeff Z with Dragvire
Deafen Lock T2, he can't do anything without his special energy, it is too slow. I kill an Electivire and Electabuzz at once, then kill some more stuff and time is called when I'm up 6-2.

R9 vs Justin W with RGon
He starts with a bunch of Basics, I start with a Flygon ex d and attach. Eventually that dies and I lock in a Beach with Draggy and control the board.

Soo yeah obviously no cut there, I run around doing more trades and whatnot. I go to the ATM a million times and it makes me sad since the fee is $2.50 a pop.
Sunday I trade more. I finally hunt down Zach Fischer who forgot his binder in someone else's room and he is going to give me my stuff that night. I never get a phone call.
On the way home I go standbye because I go to the airport with Drew and his flight is at 11 and mine isn't til 1:30. We arrived at like 9:30, there is an 11:15 airplane that can take me back to Philly. I make it into that one, which is great because my flight doesn't leave until 1:30. They end up having plane issues and we have to switch planes, and we don't leave until after 1:30 so actually I would have gotten home sooner had I stayed on my original flight. Boo hiss.
I got home and put a ton of stuff on eBay. I realize I missed like four exams and don't care at all.
So that was my Nats.
