Mewtwo LVX is generally used with dark vileplume and aerodactyl from fossil instead of your shiftry line. When it is set up, well there is nothing your opponent can do.

Also, Shiftry won't cause a permanent sleep.
It's only tails during your opponents turn, not in between.
