Is it good? The trick is to have a lot of Pokemon that can move in free Retreat Cost, while Raichu moves the Energies, Pichu gets back the ones at the Discard Pile, and Electrodes buy time, having a lot of strategical approaches, and even powering up the Benched Pokemon with Energy Shift! How does it sound?

PS: Can somebody tell me how much is the minimum cost for the total of these cards, because I have none of them?

How consistent is it in testing? 41 pokemon does seem just a tad OTT
The total cost of the cards will be around $15. I assume you know that the deck is not legal in the current format?

I mean any sets prior to HG-SS, which is indeed all the DP expansions as well as all the Platinum expansions.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! What am I going to do now? I need to make it from scratch now!

Making decks is always fun :) Just next time reduce the pokemon count considerably and add in some trainers and supporters.

The strategy of this deck was to have each Pokemon get powered by the cards lost by the pevious one, so trainers were not something very important in this deck. If used carefully, it had opportunities. But who cares? I cxannot use it. I wanted to use it in a competition!(of cource, after asking your opinion- I wouldn't just use it without somebody's opinion)

I can assure you that if you took this deck to a tournament during the DP-Onwards format when this deck was legal you would have been destroyed by all the decks of that format. You may think that what you have built now is good but let me asure you that this deck is FAR from good in a competitive view.

I used to build decks like you along time ago - i would assume "why use Trainers & Supporters when the pokemon can do all the work for me". Went to my first tournaments and finished second to last. I then realised that throwing together a bunch of pokemon of the same type with no trainers or supporters and a bunch of energy was not going to work in a tournament. Your pokemon all need to do something to help eachother (This is known Synergy) This will either augment the abilities of some of your pokemon or just make your deck more efficient. Next thing you need to understand is that Trainers (known as Items now) and Supporters are the life and soul of the deck and they do some much for you:

* They help you search out numerous pokemon so you don't have to rely on using pokemon or top-decking that particular card as that will mostr likely cost you too many prizes and you can't afford to give your opponent too many prizes.

*They help you draw into deck at a faster rate so you don't have to limit yourself to one card a turn. This will increase the overall speed of your deck as if you can draw into multiple cards of your deck, then you improves the chances of your drawing into the cards you need for a faster set-up which gives you the advantage

Those are the 2 most important things that items and supporters do for your deck, but there are other things, like helping you deal more damage or letting you switch out your active pokemon for your benched pokemon, but these are more utility cards than anything else.

Onto the deck itself. Seeing as everything in your deck is illegal, you'll have to start from scratch. Seeing as Lightnining decks are the best and easiest decks to build right now we'll go with a Lightning based deck. Here's a little skeleton list:
(Note: When i typing things like "4-3 Eelektrik, i mean 4 Tynamo & 3 Eelektrik)

I shall try and keep this as cheap as possible.

3 Zekrom (Black & White)
4-3 Eelektrik (Noble Victories)
2 Thundurus (Emerging Powers)
1 Smeargle (Call of Legends)

4 Dual Ball
3 Level Ball
1 Pokemon Communication
4 Professor Juniper
3 N
3 Prof Oak's New Theory

12 :lightning:

Simple strategy, use Eelektrik to set up multiple Zekrom and Bolt Strike everyturn. How do you get Lightning into the discard pile? no problem Professor Juniper is how, though of course you should check out Junk Arm as that's another card you should consider buying but it's a little costly. Thundurus is another way to get Lightning energy into the discard pile and is your prefered starter. Smeargle is a "tech" for its Poké-Power. Items and Supporters to search out pokemon and draw into your deck.

Now of course this isn't a complete decklist, but that's why you call it "Skeleton list".

Thanks a loyt X Empoleon X, but I'm not beginner. I know every single benefit of Items and Supporters. I just tried to substitute some of them. For example, Electrode's Energy switch was a substitute of Exp. Sharing a Rainbow Energy, Raichu's Split Ball was a Substitute of two Energy Switches (and 50 damage-WACK!-) and Pichu's Electric Circuit was a substitute of two Energy Retrievals or a Fisherman-plus some extra evo benefits for my Pikachu. Oh, and all of my fully evolved pokemon were substitutes of Switch, as they had free Retreat Cost. Well, it doesn't matter now. I'm making a new deck now, and I'll add some Items-Supporters ( not many).

PS: Does anybody know a card that lets you choose a Pokemon and put it on top of your deck instead of your hand, and a format-legal card that lets you get two cards from the top of your deck and put the one in your hand and the other in the botom of your deck?
