You can play this card only when it is the last card in your hand.
Search your deck for a Single Strike Pokémon and put it onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck. If you searched your deck in this way, draw 5 cards.
I'd rule - no you cannot. The Search and placement on the Bench are one action. Since you cannot put a Pokémon onto your Bench, you cannot search. The drawing of cards has a condition a Search was performed, which it cannot be.
