Sinister Suggestion + coin flip trainers

If my opponent uses Drowzee's Sinister Suggestion against me, can I play trainers like Pokémon Catcher, or would that be playing a card for no effect since I know I will flip tails?

Having an effect blocked or predetermined is not the same as not having a valid target or no effect.
There is a potential effect. The effect is altered by an existing effect to always be negative.
You can play the Pokemon Catcher if you want to waste it, or if you forgot that the effect was in place. You wouldn't get to take the card back.
