I think this card has the potential to be broken, the Spikes effect has soo much potential in lock decks as well as T2.

Any combos? As of now, it's definitely going in my BanDoom, Mynx (if I ever rebuild that; too bad Pow didn't come back), and ArcyDoom if I get some K9's, but BanDoom is overall better.

Unown I/Skarmory ex seems very cheap.
 
spikes has the potential to be insanely annoying
i would play it with flygon ex, you retreat and then take damage if you are a basic
 
It punishes bad starts, and places 3 counters on one of their Pokemon for you to move around incase you don't get a Rainbow energy.

Did you see Jeremy's deck at Worlds '06? Houndoom and Nidoqueen counteract each other yet he adapted to each match to get 3rd. You don't have to go into each game with a single strategy.
 
Houdoom can stop them from playing cards such as Switch or Warp Point thus forcing them to take the damage if they wish to retreat.
 
Zak give Jeremy a break. Luck cant get him 1st and 3rd in two years with almost indentical deck.

I'm not sure about Flygon.. it takes a LOT of bench space already so I'm not sure Skarmory would be the best play though it definitely sounds like a good tech.

It's a must-play in Flariados. :)
 
Skarmory with Vileplume D? or the new cacturne d?

Poison them and they'll have to retreat to get rid of it. I dunno skarmory just doesnt seem that good.
 
He's a reasonably disruptive starter. Your oppenent starts with castaform and then tries to set up, but with Skarmory you damage it, knock it to the bench and then get to whack on what was a part of his bench.
 
I cant believe people are trying to make decks around skarmory he is not that type of pokemon. Skarmory is just to sit on your bench and laugh everytime your opponent attempts to retreat nothing more. If you are making a deck and see you have room for skarmory just throw him in the mix.
