So I'm planning on buying a new skateboard. Plan B is my favorite brand, and Ryan Sheckler is my favorite skater. I have it down to one board I like the most: The Plan B 7.75" Sheckler Public. Anyone know if the Public is a good board?
 
What kind of shoes do you usually skate with? I have vans off the wall and my friend has that board and i couldn't get any traction. I could barley ollie! If you have vans, i wouldn't reccomend it
 
Grip Tape doesn't matter. I could easily replace that. Yea, I have the newer Vans of the wall and a pair of nike 6.0
 
I have a really nice Foundation board that works great with my Vans. IMO Vans are the best skate shoes.

I know that Plan B makes some nice boards, though.

If you can afford it. however, Element is known to be really good - but expensive.

plan b is good, i like it

element... ive had one board that wasnt so great but other than that there OK
 
Yep, its new. I found it on eBay. And some have said Plan B boards don't have good grip..., then why don't they just buy new grip tape for like 5 bucks?
 
well the boards usually dont come with grip. someone has to choose which brand of girp to put on. unless there crapy brands like wal-mart and world industry :p

and yeah plan B does have crappy grip and you can go out and replace it with a better grip.
mob grip is very very grippy grip :p if you like that style
 
I have mob grip... it's awesome.

I prefer getting boards not complete, so I can choose my own wheels, trucks, bearings, etc... but still, 70 bucks for a complete board is nice.

All the plan B decks are pretty much the same.The board doesn't really matter anyway tho. If you skate a lot then it'll probably be better to buy blank decks since it's expensive to buy new $50-60 decks everytime. It'll be also worth while to invest in shoe goo cause you'll be going through a lot of shoes if you don't have it.
 
I have shoe glue. And does anybody know if Randel grip tape is good? It comes with it unassembled, so I can get something else, rather than waste my time putting on bad grip tape.
