Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

So you think Gliscor is bad... 6 Reports, 1 win, 1 2nd, 27-5 overall. LIST POSTED! :D

Why SSU and why no night maintenance

I originally had Palmer in the deck, but I removed it early. I never used it and felt it was a wasted spot. My main attacker is Gliscor and the fact that I play a 3-3-1 line and the fact that it never got KO'd there was no reason to play it. I mean I could get Luxray or Spiritomb back, but the fact is Luxray was only KO'd once by a Garchomp Lv. X because of a mistake by me. The fact that in over 35 games, I never really felt the need for it is a big reason.

SSU is amazing in this deck. You can scoop up a Gliscor and if you are building a 2nd one then you can Lv. X it up right away. It can be the difference between a KO or not. Using it on Claydol, Luxray Lv. X, Uxie, or Azelf. You can also use it on Tomb, if you want to clear damage off of it. SSU is so good in the deck it isn't funny. It is a versitile card that can help in a lot of situations if you use them right and don't waste them.

I hope I answered everything that you were wondering. If you need anything else just post and I will try my best to answer it for you.

Well, why would you need NM? Gliscor is going back to your hand lots and if you did lose your Gliscor Lv.X (which you shouldn't) just keep a Premier Ball in your hand. You play thick lines like 3-3-1 Gliscor so if you did eventually lose one just set up another. Also 4 Spiritomb is very thick helping this.

Congrats, and very nice deck.

Thanks, you pretty much nailed it on the head. :thumb:

How is this not a lock version? I mean you can still lock your opponent if you want to.
Over here the deck sees quite a lot of play and with similar lists I still see people getting locked half the game.

Thanks, I know you had Luxray in. I am fairly confident you would of beat me if that was the case. However the fact is that I maybe would of been able to prevent it depending on who played it down first.

It really matters on a few cards and how you played it. Yes, I can lock my opponent, but that is not the strategy of my version. It is to do 80 and switch. The fact is lock versions TRY to lock you, I don't. They play Unown K. I don't. They play 2 Unown G. I don't. They usually don't play 2 Looker. There are a lot of other choices, but I can tell you just doing 80 and switch is a lot better than most people think.

Here is a question for you. Do the players that are locking thier opponent losing 1 or fewer per event and cutting or coming close to doing so? If so, then great, but if not, then you can see the difference. :thumb:

Great read! I'm really impressed at how well Gliscor did! I was also very interested at the Masquerain/Shaymin/Beautifuly deck in there... I'm running that kind of deck, minus the Beautifuly.

But great job!
