Think a ressalt (yes it is a mistake) you want to have . The easiest way to do that is to study some already existed decks like sabrina golduck and Alakazam . Any idea can work but all ideas need a strong insight ,backbone such as strong trainer engine and some pokemon that work with each other.
Remember even the stupiest ideas can become better , maybe not archetypes but can sure evolve.
Look for intresting cards like the new snorlax combine it with old strategy or with new for example focils getting into play after a switch attack or stalling with snorlax and focils and using other cards for your advantage.
Use cards that are unused but intresting like the new rapidash and Hypno (imagine dark gengar / Hypno / strong attacker, miesdravous )

Remember the way of creating new decks isn't creating old decks and calling them new
