Sonic Heroes Expansion

This set is based on Sonic Heroes. In Sonic Heroes, the goal is to complete four different stories with four different teams of three. These teams are composed of the following:

Team Sonic: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles
Team Dark: Shadow, red face paint, [E-123] Omega
Team Rose: Amy [Rose], Cream [& Cheese], Big [the Cat]
Team Chaotix: Espio, Charmy, Vector

The left character of each team leads the Speed formation. The middle character of each team leads the Fly formation. The right character of each team leads the Power formation. Anything appearing on brackets won't appear on Pokémon cards such as Omega's Raichu or Cream's Illumise.

For this expansion, each and every one of the 386 Pokémon (including Jirachi and Deoxys) will appear exactly once in this set. All have been assigned. Any Pokémon that belonged to Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles in the three Sonic Adventure 2 Battle sets COULDN'T go to Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles in any combination this time around. (That meant no Flygon for Tails.) Any Pokémon that belonged to Shadow, Eggman, or red face paint in the three Sonic Adventure 2 Battle sets COULDN'T go to Shadow or red face paint in either way this time around. (That meant no Manectric for red face paint.) Pokémon that belonged to to Shadow or red face paint in the three Sonic Adventure 2 Battle sets COULDN'T go to Omega this time around. (That meant no Crobat for Omega.) Cards that went to Eggman in the Sonic Adventure 2 Battle expansion DID go to Omega this time around, but only 10 of those Pokémon in complete lines were such. Some other restrictions:
  • All Pokémon in part 1 of the set have been assigned.
  • Off-type Pokémon are frowned upon in this set. If such a Pokémon is created, I will personally send a PM to your inbox asking you to change the card to its proper type, with recommendation to some other stats as well.
  • The Baby mechanic in this set is that of Wizards. That means Baby Rule, not Baby Evolution Poké-POWER.
  • Aside from the opening cards and the cards that ended part 1, in which there are 7 in each instance, each person is allowed to post only 6 cards per day, a day starting at 12 AM Eastern. Except for my post containing the opening cards, there will be absolutely no exceptions.
Here is the tally of all caught violators:
SwampertEX (1 violation, 1 resolved)
Scribble (2 violations, 2 resolved, unable to PM)
About type alignments for the characters: There are none. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Any type can go to anyone with no debacle.

All cards in Part 1 have been assigned.

Here are the first cards in the set. The preview cards (except for Tails's Crobat ex) have been textified here.

Espio's Bellsprout
40 HP {G}

Basic Pokemon

Poke-BODY: Parasitic Sucker
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may attach a Basic Pokemon card from your hand to Espio's Bellsprout. (This doesn't count as evolving Espio's Bellsprout.) Treat Espio's Bellsprout as if it were that Pokemon instead. It can't evolve, devolve, or use the Pokemon Power of that Pokemon. At the end of your turn, discard the Basic Pokemon card. If this Poke-BODY stops working, discard any Basic Pokemon cards attached to it.

{G}{C} Blossom Whip 20

Weakness: {P}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: {C}

Espio's Weepinbell
70 HP {G}

Stage 1 Pokémon (evolves from Espio's Bellsprout)

{G}{C} Acid Drench 20
Flip a coin. If heads, discard the top card of your opponent's deck.

{G}{G}{C} Wait for Evolution
At the beginning of your next turn, search your deck for an Evolution card that evolves from Espio's Weepinbell and attach it to Espio's Weepinbell (this counts as evolving Espio's Weepinbell). Benching or evolving Espio's Weepinbell ends this effect.

Weakness: {P}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: {C}

Espio's Victreebel
90 HP {G}

Stage 2 Pokémon (evolves from Espio's Weepinbell)

Poke-POWER: Jummie Jungle Orchidvines
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may play a Basic Pokemon onto your opponent's bench. That Pokemon is considered to be one of your opponent's Pokemon. Your opponent may attach Energy, attack and so on, except that Pokemon cannot evolve in any way. If that Pokemon is Knocked Out, it goes to your discard pile (any other cards attached to it go to your opponent's discard pile), and you still draw a Prize. At the end of your next turn, return any Basic Pokemon played this way on your opponent's bench to your hand (return all cards attached to them to your opponent's hand). You can't use this Poke-POWER if your opponent has a full bench or if Espio's Victreebel is affected by a Special Condition.

Poke-BODY: Tropical Mistletoe Suckers
As long as Espio's Victreebel is your Active Pokemon, Espio's Victreebel has a copy of every attack your Pokémon with Espio, Charmy or Vector in their names in play have (including their Energy costs and anything else required in order to use those attacks, such as discarding Energy cards).

{G}{G}{C} Acid Spitout 30+
Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage and the Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned.

Weakness: {P}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: {C}{C}

Espio's Wynaut
40 HP {P}

Basic Pokemon

Baby Form: If this Baby Pokemon is your Active Pokemon and your opponent tries to attack, your opponent flips a coin (before doing anything required in order to use that attack). If tails, your opponent's turn ends without an attack.

{C} Question Tag
Draw 4 cards, then shuffle 3 cards from your hand into your deck.

Weakness:
Resistance:
Retreat Cost:

Espio's Wobbuffet
90 HP {P}

Basic Pokemon

Poke-BODY: Patience
Espio's Wobbuffet cannot become Confused or Asleep.

{P}{C} Bide
If Espio's Wobbuffet was attacked last turn, do double the damage of that attack on Espio's Wobbuffet to the Defending Pokemon.

{P}{P} Destiny Bond
Discard 1 (P) Energy card attached to Espio's Wobbuffet or else this attack does nothing. If a Pokemon Knocks Out Espio's Wobbuffet during your opponent’s next turn, Knock Out that Pokemon.

Weakness: {D}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: {C}{C}{C}

Charmy's Shedinja
30 HP {P}

Stage 1 Pokémon (evolves from Charmy's Nincada)

Poke-POWER: Ghostly Halo
Whenever one of your Pokemon with Pokémon with Espio, Charmy or Vector in their has exactly 10 HP left, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to that Pokemon. This Power stops working if Charmy's Shedinja is affected by a Special Condition.

Poke-BODY: Molt
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this power. Until the end of your opponent's next turn, Charmy's Shedinja type (color) is now {G}.

{P} Vanish
Shuffle Charmy's Shedinja and all cards attached to it into your deck. If you have no Benched Pokemon this attack does nothing.

{C}{C} Shadow Of A Memory
Use any attack from Charmy's Shedinja's Basic Pokemon card. Charmy's Shedinja doesn't have to pay for that attack's Energy cost.

Weakness: {D}
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: {C}

Sunflorazumarill:
For Scribble: I'd prefer Shedinja's type to be {G}.
As you see, I complied. :D
By the way, it's Torment, not Taunt, that stops the same attack from being done twice in a row.

This line and one other will be the only split evolution lines in the set. The Eevee is a special card that will be the extra card for Team Rose, so Amy, Cream, and Big's slots all close at 36 cards, no more, no less. (The Chao Trainer card will be reprinted during the Trainer portion of the set allowing for all Trainers in both the SA2B and Heroes sets to have it evolve into their Basic Pokémon, but no such provision allows for the Eevee, so sorry, Chao can't evolve into it.)
