Can't go, because of a ceremony and I wouldn't want to miss it out, won money. Sucks though, but I can give you as great list of rules, because I'm in competitive battling. Got your PM, sorry, can't run it, but I can give you all the rules and such.

please do.
Although bear in mind, we're going to have novices running it, so we can't do all the EV and IV checking.

Pop, I plan on going to Scotch Plains and playing, but if you need me to help you out just let me know here, via PM, via Email, or via Phone Call and I will be more than willing to help you out.

Drew

What does Scotch Plains have that I don't?

You know, if you all go here, then the good competition will be here...

ya but

1. I live in Clifton and South Jersey is like a 2 hour ride or so

and

2. We don't want good competition, we want an easy Victory Medal

It is only 15 minutes away for me, if ever that. Yours is well over an hour if not close to 2 hours. Which is why I said if you need me to help, I will travel down, otherwise I am going to Scotch Plains.

LMK either way,
Drew

This sounds like a great event! Hope you all have a fun time. Eager to hear how it works out with the other events at the same time and the fact that it is in the mall. Please let us know.

Wow, PokePop, I'm kinda disappointed by the guidelines for the DS tournament. Just the fact that each team is going to be allowed an Uber is kind of disheartening..... Any chance that there may be some reconsideration if I propose a little more balanced guideline set, with all due respect. BTW, it's Russ, from league and about every other show you do in Burlington Center.

I'm open to suggestions.
This is my first DS tourney and I'm going off rules others have used

Rules:

The following Pokemon are considered uber for this tournament and are disallowed: Mewtwo, Mew, Wobbuffet, Lugia, Ho-oh, Latios, Latias, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Deoxys-f, Deoxys-l, Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Manaphy, Darkrai, Arceus.

The following clauses MUST be enabled in every battle: Sleep Clause, Evasion Clause, OHKO Clause, Timed Battle.

There's species clause. No using two Pokemon of the same species.

There is no self-KO clause. If the match ends in such a way so that there should have been a draw (last Pokemon Explosion, etc.), you may claim a draw.

Using an illegal moveset is grounds to instantly lose the round regardless of the outcome of the match. Additionally, using any of the following explicitly named illegal movesets will be grounds for instant disqualification from the tournament. Note that only the combination of both elements is illegal; you are free to use one move or another in these pairs. In general, you should check for a possible breeding combination when using Pokemon with two egg moves.

Certain powers (Moonlight, Morning sun, Dream Eater, Rest, Recover, Heal Order, Heal Wish, Roost, Lunar Dance, Aqua Ring, Slack Off, Milk Drink, Soft Boiled, Ingrain, Leech Seed, Swallow, Synthesis, Wish) are not allowed after 6 minutes into the match

The battles will be 6 vs. 6.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

So, how'd it go? Who won TCG and video game?
