This will be a fun series.

After countless hours of playtesting vs. Sabledonk, I've learned that 4 Spiritombs + 1 mesprit makes any deck fun vs. SableDonk.

So, all you party people out there ... dust off your Stage 2s, BTS cards, and arrive with confidence!

This should be a very enjoyable time. I hope my family is up for a multi-venue month.
Y'all know, for some odd reason, I love to gets my Pokemons on in the Spring :)

All ready for the valley event in Harrisonburg on Saturday and Mr. Jefferson's event in Charlottesville on Sunday!!! I can't wait to see the decks that people bring to these events!!!!

Bad News: Comic Kings in Virginia Beach no longer wishes to participate in Play! Pokémon events.. They have cancelled the BR..:frown::frown: To our beach players (you guys know who you are) I am truly sorry about this..

Good News: I am working hard to find a replacement venue to fill the void. I'll let you know once news develops.

They officially said no? That sucks. I thought they were gonna reconsider, guess not D:

Sadly, the lesson is one that I've tried to point out to people for a while now. When you purchase your cards at a big box store or via the internet, you get cards. When you support a locally owned game shop, you let the store owner know that you appreciate his/her allowing you to use their store space to actually USE those cards to play the game. It must be pretty upsetting when an owner sees players with bunches of cards and his/her inventory lets them know that the cards are being purchased elsewhere...
Long story short, players: You can't have your cake and eat it too. Buy your packs locally!!!

Molly, I'm happy to say that there are still leagues near you. We'll get something rescheduled.. I AM working on this even now as I sit in a hotel in Harrisonburg!! :thumb:

whats te average amount of rounds and payers in seniors for Charlottesville?
The Virginia Pokemon website tracks attendances. Go into the tournament series to look up how many people attended the events. You probably want to compare to the ABR from earlier in the year and last year's SBR.

So, I've seen 2 very interesting, very different events over the past 2 days.. About the only thing in common that I've noticed is a conspicuous absence of the dreaded donk deck........

Oh, Sableye??? Where are you??????

do you ever listen to me
You mean the time you got us lost outside the hotel, or the time you tried to convince me of an errata that did not exist?

There was that one time. I'll tell you later because I don't want to identify my tech card here.

And I did clean my car.

Thanks for working so hard to find a new location! Ugg, it makes me feel bad now that I didn't always buy from there cause of the 30 minute drive. I guess it's just more convineint (behold my fail spelling XD) for some people to buy from those big chains. Plus, Magic is a higher revenue game though :p

Just figured I would pop in and leave my own feedback on this weekend......lol

Props-

-- Dave, Pam, and Tim for making both of this weekends events great!
-- Tammy and Mike for hosting our BR (as well as giving our league a home!)
-- My husband for pulling 2nd at both events! :)
-- It didn't rain :p
-- Watching some of my newest league members play in a tournament
-- Toys 'r us having Pokemon shirts on sale 2 for $10
-- Seeing friends I don't get see often....
-- My oldest and my 10 year old for pulling 1st in an event...
-- My new hair cut... (Yes, I actually got it cut, and am no longer sitting on it...lol)
-- Pulling my 3rd SR Pikachu (has your name on it Totoro, if you are interested)

Slops-

-- Spending the weekend before building 30+ decks for my league members, to have them not show up... :(
-- The weekend ended...lol
-- Toys 'r us not having the mystery egg promos.....

So....all in all it was a most awesome weekend! Thanks again to everyone involved...hope it was awesome for everyone else as well! Hope to see you at another BR before it's over!

Toys R Us in Richmond has the promos.. come on down to Midlo this weekend!! (the TRU is about 15 mins from the game shop)
