I know you weren't addressing me, but I'll go ahead and answer the shining question.

They're very rare. 1 in 8192 chance of running into one. They aren't any better than normal Pokemon, but they're good for bragging about.

Micro doesn't link to ADV/SP, it might be able to with a cable, but I don't give a crap enough about the GBA to research that.
