States Travel Award

I do not know if this is the right place to put this but I won a travel award for a Provincials in Canada and

still have not gotten my check. I was told amongst others at Canadian Nationals that we would be receiving

our checks in the mail shortly after the event. It has been over 2 months now and I have messaged

pokemon.support getting no response. My question is other players who won states/provincials/territories

gotten their checks or is it only an issue for Canadians?

As far as I can tell this was only a Canadian issue and you're definitely not alone. In the US, you picked up your travel award at the event and nobody I know had any issues doing it. In Canada, at least three people haven't received their VGC award money. They were told the same thing you did. The only person I know who did get his money was being reimbursed for a first place regionals finish (and even then because he'd already used Aeroplan points to get his tickets, they only paid him back the tax).

I think the people who handle Nationals are the same as the Eastern Canada Regionals correct? afaik VGC players at the Eastern Canada Regional also didn't receive any of the prizes we got here (playmat, binder, hat) for Top 8.

I am deeply sorry for the lack of information given to you about this. The good news is all of the requests are in and I have been promised that the checks are to be cut next week.
