i would make a umbreon line a zoarack line to give it another attacker so u dont focus on just donphan or umbreon which is not too good versus decks that have zoarak in them

i think overall its a pretty good deck although i would also run blissynand a higher amount of fighting energies

well if u rin blissy prime then when u use it discard the energys then u could use fisherman to grab them back, might want to run rescue energy too that way u will get donphan back

With most supporters being played how resetting your hand or discarding it Smeargle does nothing for you but hurt, especially with its 1 retreat cost. Umbreon does nothing in HGSS on as most of the popular pokemon either have abilities(which umbreon does nothing to) or no abilities at all. Zoroark will help in more match ups across the field that Donphan can't already handle.

Some cards to consider

Cleffa @ 1
This card allows you to reset your hand in dire situations and after you play collector on your first turn (Collector gets you basics and then you draw 6 new cards without having to discard any)

2-2 Zoroark
These can use an attack your opponent has in conjunction with Pokemon Circulation and Switch (depending on what pokemon they bring up)

yeah. do a 4-4 Donphan Prime.

4 Phanp(h)y
4 Donphan
2 Chansey
2 Blissey Prime
2 Hoothoot
2 Noctowl

That is a solid line. If you are worried about not having a back up attacker you could run the Zoroarck. It could work.

For the discarded energy from Blissey Prime, you can run retrieval and burned tower .

Don't forget to run Super Scoop Ups and a few Seekers

i dont have any yanmega prime if i have i will use it here
what is the best donphan variant?
or only like this straight donphan?

There really isn't best way of playing it, though playing it straight makes the deck too easy and predictable to play against. The meta determines what is it's best partner, just be advised though water isn't talked too much compare to the gyms bdif emboar (lol) but it is at least top 3 best decks. Consider that when having a partner.
