Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Strategy Lessons You've Learned

Against Gengar SF, keep a "Poker Face" the entire time. So when they Poltergeist into a 10-card hand, show them 7 Pokemon and 3 Energy.

play a nuisence like ralts or seedot use ralts future sight then play some energys to a trup card like :cool:Absol G:cool::cool::cool:

  • Wait for your opponent to acknowledge that the game is over before picking up your cards.
  • Never forget your techs like Dusknoir DP or Uxie X if they're on your bench.
  • Take a deep breath before the start of your turn, since it'll help you to not rush your moves.
  • Play like your opponent using SP always has the spray. That way, they can't surprise you.
  • Put the Unown G back in your deck.
  • Certain cards are just meant to be binder-candy. Sad, but true.
  • If you have a way to get something before Cosmic Power/Setup/Roast Reveal/etc., then just use it then instead of waiting to see if you topdeck it.
  • Just because you CAN knock something out, doesn't mean you SHOULD, since there are a few reasons why that may not be your best choice.
  • Don't be afraid to make moves that seem stupid to some, like Dark Palming a Uxie, because you are the one who decides your move.
  • Playtesting is not a single game at league.
  • Try not to run too many cards that do the same thing.
  • Cosmic Power comes before Setup, and Setup comes before any draw Supporters
  • Remember to announce things like Setup, Flash Bite, and Let Loose as soon as the Pokemon comes into play.

Always keep your cool in a battle, or else you'll lose it before you can blink
Never show signs of a bad hand, or a bad draw. Players look for these types of signs.
Remember to not get too cocky. Every round can change with one card, after all.
Never give up hope. One card can get you the win
There's always a way to make your deck better and faster. Sometimes, you just got to look for it.
When facing Jumpluff, keep the minimum out.
Keep the field as organized as you can.
Never put your hand on top of your prize cards when you search something.
Always give your all, even if it's 6 prizes to their 1.
Sometimes the best attack is just sitting there, staring at the board during your opponents turn, mumbling just to psych them out and hope they don't kill what you really need.
If a kid leaves the room for the bathroom, make sure a judge goes with them.

Never forget to play Bebes Search when you have an empty bench and a Riolu active against LuxChomp. (In my defense he only had Luxray GL in play.) (Then agin, I did get donked.)

Always remeber, sigh, to let oose before you use cyrus' initiative. Lost me 2 many games. No seriously, lost me 2 games.

ALWAYS remember to use speed stadium/ drawing powers every turn. You'll often start your turn by drawing a much needed evolution or a supporter that you could have gotten in the previous turn.
