The video didin't tell us much that we didn't already know. Other than that, we had a better week of updates than the past few weeks.

I hope they reveal another character next week. At this point I'd be glad to see an udate on Luigi, Pichu, Mewtwo, or Game & Watch.

Agreed... except for Game&Watch. He doesn't deserve to be back in Brawl. Neither does Marth for that matter, or any clone of him (is Ike a clone of Marth? I don't remember). They were waaaaaaay too cheap.

I agree with you in the context that I despise clones of any sort (the line is that if it's a few atttacks altered in some way and then one entirely different, such as Luigi (Luigi Luck instead of the Cape thing, Up B goes straight up and serves as recovery for Luigi Luck, Fireball goes perfectly straight)). Pichu, Roy (and Marth), Young Link, Falco, and Dr. Mario can all go straight downwards in my book.

However, I would like to add that bashing a character is never cool, and there may be people who disagree with you on Pichu's status in Brawl. I know someone who likes to use Pichu just because it's cuter than Pikachu, and is virtually the same except for that stupid self-damage thing.
 
Don't get your hopes up for any special new characters. I think it's pretty apparent that the only characters they haven't talked about yet are the classic staples of the previous games. I'd be very surprised if people started playing Brawl and actually discovered something new that hadn't been talked about.

The idea of showing a little info every day up till the launch was a good idea BEFORE it got delayed. Now, by the time the game comes out, everyone will already know everything about it and there won't be anything fun to unlock. It'll be like watching a movie after you've read the book. You already know what is going to happen, so a large chunk of the excitement that would come from suspense and amusement of new things has been lost before you stepped into the movie theatre.

I couldn't agree with you more. I hope both Pichu and Young Link are gone. All they where where smaler weaker versions of Pikachu and Link. And anyone who thinks that Marth is cheap, has never played against a good Fox.

Not with the way the up dates are going. They just keep showing us the same stuff over and over.

And for the last time, Pichu is the WORST player in SSBM. I don't get why on earth you would want to use a weaker, lighter version of Pikachu that HURTS IT'S SELF?? The answer is, you wouldn't.

Snag Machine

This item appeared in the game Pokémon Colusseum, and later in Pokémon XD: Game of Darkness. Hit a Pokémon owned by an opponent and it becomes an ally instead. If you love playing tricks on others, this item can’t be beat.

Now’s your chance. You can’t help but grin.

Incidentally, it also has an effect if you simply hit someone with it instead of hitting their Pokémon.


Getting thoroughly fooled by a trap like this... It’s pretty humiliating.

Too bad it only worked on "Shadow Pokemon." Although you're idea of the Snag Machine is pretty cool Megavelocibot. I'd love to see Shadow Lugia as a pokeball pokemon. That be tight IMO.

I do not like clones either
but there is nothing wrong with bashing a crappy character like pichu or mewtwo
I do not want them to get rid of mewtwo though, that would be bad
but they should really fix them

you spelt young wrong
but you are right about little link and little pikachu
marth is cheap but he should still be in brawl along with ike
because their attacks are fairly different

i hate pichu, but boy is it fun killing people at like 50-80% with his full charged skull bash!
especaily when you win with him!
i hate young link to, but to my suprise, i beat giga bowser with him on just my third try, where with link it took me many, many tries.

i still hope theyre gone.
 
I reckon Young Link is pretty sweet. I creamed event 51 with him and only died once. But he is a bit light and just a copy of Link with flaming arrows and a wooden shield.
