Seriously. 40+ characters made no sense anyways. The first game only had 12 characters, the second, 24. This game has 35, which is plenty. People just want to see a game like Marvel vs. Capcom with 50+ nintendo/etc characters.

Well, two things happen when you have lots of characters: either you have more variety, or...Well, only more clones.

In Melee, you had seven clones...At least! So...From installment I to installment II, you only "really" had six new characters.

So if you guys think about it, we're really getting double the amount of characters (assuming we don't get only clones).
