surgery...

My cousin had that surgery. She was in pretty much constant pain for about 6-9 months. She can't bend her back at all, and can barely bend at the waist. However, she grew about 4 inches in 3 hours, and she's now back to wearing bikinis. The first few months will suk royally, but it will get better. Best wishes!
 
thanks to all for your words of encouragement--they seriously mean a lot to me and make me feel a bit better.
update: after seeing the doctor today, the procedure is changed. they will not be shaving a part of my hip off and they will not be cutting through my back--they are cutting through my side and removing one of my ribs to fuse with my spine.
...hm.

I had surgery about 6 months ago on my arm after a broke it. Don't worry, it's not too bad. The recovery is long, but at least you'll get paid meds. :D
 
sorry to revive this, but, just a reminder--surgery next monday.
i will try to have someone (possibly joebass) to update on my status after my surgery if i can't access a computer.
 
well...some good news...
i got accepted into my #1 college--drew university. w00t. just found out today.
 
Best of luck to you man. I had a spleenectomy about a month ago and everything was all right. You'll be fine and in my prayers :thumb:
 
thanks people. anyway, i leave today, so i guess i'll catch you all later. i'll be sure to have somebody post on the gym what my status is and when i'll be back. hope you all don't miss me too much ;)

I know how you are feeling. I just had surgery on Nov 22 for Acute Abdominal Appendicitis. You will make it through this, I know for sure. I know yours is a lot more complicated than mine but you'll get through it. Remember, all Poke Members are hardcore and can survive anything. Hurricanes, Surgeries, etc etc.
