Grr..I sent this in a while ago, but I forgot my CPU disconnected before I hit "Post Message". Here's my Grimer:
--------------------
Grimer (G)
30 HP
Basic Pokémon
Poké-POWER: Poison Affinity
When Grimer comes into play on your bench, place a Sludge counter on him for each (G) Pokémon with (P) weakness in play. Grimer gets +10 HP from each Sludge counter on it. Remove all Sludge counters from Grimer if Grimer evolves. If there are no (G) Pokémon with (P) weakness in play when you place Grimer on your bench, search your deck for a card that evolves from Grimer and put it in your hand. Then shuffle your deck.
(G*): Sludge Bomb (10+)
You may remove up to three Sludge counters from Grimer. This attack does 10 damage plus 20 damage for each Sludge counter removed from Grimer.
Weakness: P
Resistance:
Retreat: *
Rarity: U
---------------------------------
Explanation: Should be straightforeward. When Grimer comes into play, place Sludge counters on him for each Poison pokemon in play (including your opponenet's). This makes up for Grimer's horrendously low HP and helps out his second attack, Sludge bomb. Essentially, the attack creates a Poison-like effect without having to wait for it to happen between turns. The only downside is that you have to lower its max HP by 10 each time. Seems fair enough to me.
Strategy: In a Poison pokemon heavy deck, I hope you're playing some version of Muk (either Dark or EX). If not, then you should play Grimer simply for the awesome effect. He should come out with enough HP to survive one attack and then flip it around bring out his own big guns the next turn.
Also, if you're running aggro Muk EX from the RS-on format (old, I know, but hold on here) or aggro Dark Muk (very deadly and nice), then you should be able to start with an active Jirachi, on your first turn bench this Grimer and search for whichever Muk you need, and you have instant aggro T2 Muk.
