Mew ex is here to replace the Lunatone and Swoop Combo after the format change.
Put Mew ex then Mentor or Trans. and Mentor for Growlithe and Houndour and evolve next turn and Overrun with Mew, so I can get a T2 Arcanine whitout Swoop!.
What do you think?

Pokemon: 17
4 Growlithe (LM)
4 Arcanine ex (LM)
3 Mew ex (LM)
2 Houndour (UF)
2 Houndoom (UF)

Trainers: 28
4 Pokemon Reversal
4 Mary's Request
2 Cursed Stone
2 Battle Frontier
1 Scott
4 Professor Elm's Training Method
4 Holon Transceiver
3 Holon Mentor
1 Holon Adventurer
1 Holon Scientist
2 Copycat (Furthest Ends - FE)

Energy: 15
11 Fire
4 React
2 Holon Electrode (DS)

Looks good.

I was trying to figure out how i could create a new Dx-on for T2 Arcanine now that swoop is gone.
It would have took me a while to think of mew. I think im going to use this deck. Only If i do use it im teching in Deoxys Ex Emerald. Since the whole deck but Doom is Ex.

Mew doesn't have Arcanines body though which is really why it was good. I was trying to think of how to do T2 RK9 DX-on and the only thing I could think of was this.

4 Fossils
4-4 Arcanine
2-2 Houndoom

4 Transciever
3 Mentor
4 Master ball ( ????)

Fossils are just there so you dont Mulligan. Run a heavy Transciever Mentor Line so you can get Growlithe out turn 1 and discard the fossil. 4 Master Ball incase you go first.

It's good strategy try putting 4 mew ex and 4 absols(lm) so you can get them fast.

THIS IS RODERICK STRATEGY SO THANK HIM FOR GIVING ME THE IDEA

Why don't you put in some energy removal 2... also get another Mew ex and drop your houndoom line and get 4 absol (LM) so you can get your Arcanine ex faster. Hope it helps....

I also don't see the immediate reason to run Mew Ex. You have a nice idea here (fossils). Think about running Mawile, instead, plus Briney's which Mawile can fetch. It won't cost you many more slots plus Mawile is a nice starter. If Mawile dies, that's fine, too.

I think Mew ex is a nice idea, but it really wouldn't work. Most of the times you start with Mew ex, you won't get an Arcanine ex until turn 3 at best. Think about it. Turn one attach energy to Mew ex, use an attack. Turn two, use Mentor to get growlithe and whatever else. Turn three, PETM for the Arcanine ex.

The only other thing you could do to make it a Turn Two deck with Mew ex, is to use Dual Ball or Great Ball, because you can use those first turn.

T2 Arcanine is not as hard as you evidently think. Even playing first, you will have an Growlithe in your initial hand 54% of the time (playing 4, and 6 other basics). If you play 2nd, you have a very good shot of landing a Growlithe (well over 80%).

but with Mawile, you'd have to waste the energy attachment. So it would be T3 Arcanine. I'll test the fossil idea and see if it even works for getting T2 today.

Yeah, it might be a bit slower, but you're setup can be that much stronger. For example, Mawile can grab Scott. By chaining 2 Scotts, you can ensure always having a stadium on hand. If there's no PETM/Arcanine in sight, Mawile can at least fetch PETM...

Arcanine will be good but not as good as last season. There is no reason to run mew. More pokemon are psychic resistant than fire. Arcanine has the body which helps against flariados and more hp. It can't be space centered or that card that stops base from using bodies. You can run it with fossils or Gligar. Once Swoop or something similar comes in the near future. This deck will be good. Safeguard decks you just take the loss. You cannot beat dustox. Unless they can't get cascoon.

Of course you can beat Dustox. Power up Houndoom instead of Arcanine. Kills Dustox in one shot.

I dont think Aerodactyl is needed. Like Toby said it doesnt really work with Houndoom.

What do you think of Arcanine with like a 4-3-2 line of Jolteon ex and Espeon ex. Abuse Over Run and Jolteons Power and when you need to Devolve them and keep going.

Why is that?

Devo Flash is nice with Over Run, but again there's an impact to Houndoom.

yea it does, if your playin to attackin with just arcanine ex then houndoom is awesome. If you use the eevees forget about houndoom though. If you do play arcanine ex with houndoom though beware of water pokes aka ludicargo decks and whatnot
