What lock is there? There is no lock. Your opponent can freely attach special energy to their benched pokemon. Not only that, but against T2, your first attack is useless because you will be hitting a jirachi with grass resistance. I just don't see how they can do well.

Well, thats where ER2 comes in, basically you remove any special energy that the oppenent would attach to the bench, but I myself think this won't be that effective either.

That is the way I'd play it!

You need 4 Reversal and 4 ATM Rock to even consider a Cacturne ex deck. Reversal up Special Energy candidates and ATM any Special Energy away.

Regardless, its a tough deck to win with because you don't deal enough damage and you don't really lock or trip up your opponent. Cacturne ex is above average in most areas but not great at anything. SS Cacturne might be better due to Poison Payback. Its deadly with Weezing but now I'm off topic.
