For states I didn't go the first week because the closest was Oregon and its too far. The second week i went to local B.C provs, i didn`test much for the format so i just went with my friends jack`s deck that he came T4 with the week before. I went 4-2 missing cut, i felt like my deck was fine but i felt that a Celebi/Mewtwo deck was probably just the best deck. I tested it a bit before and when we went down to washington we finalized the list for the event. It was fine but their were 1 or 2 spots that i wished we were able to test more but they turned out fine in the event.
We get to the event and its a bit small, they needed to bring more chairs because we had so many people. Overall we had 210 masters, twice as big as last week, it was 8 rounds and i figured out that around half of 6-2s would make it.
I really want to do good at this event because my season has been rather sub-par so far and last year i came 2nd at Washington plus last week an American beat my friend in the finals or B.C provincials so revenge!
Before i start I'm gonna say that i am REALLY bad with names so i wont remember most peoples names, SORRY!
Round 1 vs Mew/Plume
He goes first and has mew,oddish and yanma, PONTS and plays absol. I catcher oddish but miss on the KO, he retreats and gets vileplume and i feel really bad because my hand is mostly trainers that i wasn't able to waste, but he just pass's. He didn't have any energy and just couldn't attack. So i start KOing his pokemon with gigas and he never got an energy to see off pokemon, if he did i was probably in a really bad spot. GG

Round 2 vs Vanilluxe/Vileplume
He goes first and has oddish, vanillite, and stuff, i catcher the oddish but once again miss the kill (its not that hard, just mewtwo/DCE or 2 grass with celebi!) He gets vileplume but once again cant get an attacker. I set up gigas and start KOing, he did get up a vanillish but he got 2 tails to miss paralyze. I KOd it and just sweepts. GG

Round 3 vs Mewtwo/Pachi/Shaymin
We both start off ok but we dont want to attack our mewtwos into each other, i start attacking by hitting gigas into his mewtwo, he super scoops it up and hits gigas, i bring up mewtwo and KO it, he KOs mine, I catcher a shaymin and ko it, i think he KO'd an ex and then when he was at 2 prizes i N'd him and KO'd his last mewtwo and he drew nothing and conceded.GG

Round 4 vs CMT
I dont remember this match that much, it was a close game and i think it came down to me Ning him to a really low hand for the win.

Now i was feeling really good, i felt like i was playing tight and that the deck choice was perfect.
Round 5 vs Zeel
I started out rather slow but i got mewtwo going and after a while i am pretty sure he didn't play mewtwo because he collectered and had DCE with only a few prizes left, but did not revenge KO my mewtwo when their was almost no risk. I was making a comeback but he PONTed for the energy and switch he needed to win with Zekrom EX.

Round 6vs Zeel
This round took forever to start because of a billion giveaways.
He starts with lone tynamo to my mewtwo and DCE but he went first...
He goes turn one xball me for 80 with him mewtwo, this play seems really bad because if i can DCE and plus power he is so far behind in the matchup where he usually starts of slow and makes a comeback with his mewtwos to kill mine, losing his right now would probably just be game. I DCE and juniper bus miss it, i cather his eel and switch to celebi. He had the switch and catcher to kill my mewtwo and the rest of the game was trying to play catchup to a deck that wins the late game that he was able to get to by turn 3.

I felt really bitter about this loss because it was defiantly to someone I did not feel the best about their ability but i think i was just really mad about losing to 2 zekeels in a row when that was the one matchup we had made sure we would be able to beat. I try to let it go and get focused because i feel that if I win my last two games i have a good shot at T16
Round 7 vs Zeel
My opponent was a guy that i saw playing next to me at 4-0 so i knew that he had lost 2 games in a row like me, it was gonna be really brutal to be the person who was 4-0 and then out before the last round.
He got a normal start for zeel that is usually slower and i use verizion to KO tynamos and eels. He cant respond except for mewtwo and i win the tradeoff because of the early prizes.

Round 8 vs Zeel
Game starts normal except that i am able to get a early KO on a tynamo with mewtwo and he isn't able to mewtwo me in response which is a huge bonus( i was ready for a mewtwo war but its way more secure if nothing happens). I start taking more prizes with verizion and he does not want to attack into it fearing a return KO with thundurus so he just outraged for 20, i 30 heal so he just did nothing and got zekrom to 100 HP(way easier to OHKO). He isn't able to do much and i was able to take the game commandingly(I didn't notice that until i had 1 prize).
So some 6-2s will make it in, i feel like i have a good shot because i lost in later rounds and my opponents did fine.
I end up in 14th which made me very happy because i don't usually make it into cut when I'm on the bubble.
T16 vs Kyle T with Zeel with zebstrika
Game 1
We both start out ok, i believe that i took the lead and then we got to this point where he could have catchered my gigas and disconnect( that would have left me stranded with gigas with no energy) but he just 80 sniped a celebi. Im not sure but i think my opponent was just really nervous(even when he was the friend of the guy who beat me last year in the finals). I game goes as normal and stuff like mewtwo and verizion just take over. In the end it came down to me having an evoilite on my mewtwo so that he couldn't revenge kill for game.
Game 2
I'm gonna say flat out that i got really lucky this game, every time he tried to do anything i stopped it, he was gonna get T3 disconnect but i catchered and killed it with verizion, then when he catchered mewtwo i switched and catchered his eel for KO. After that i just overwhelmed him with my pokemon and he was not able to set up without eels.

T8 vs CJ with Zeel
Now this is a friend of mine that i was sleeping in the same room with for the event, we started out by joking that whoever lost had to sleep on the couch:lol:.
Game 1
I start out really bad with double celebi and a bunch of energy and PONT, after i PONT i have energy and a juniper, off the juniper i get some basics and he started off slow not able to get many energy into play so i was able to survive the slow start. We both have mewtwos but we dont want to attack into each other so i start off with gigas and that leads to the metwo war that he technically won because i had none left but i was able to raging hammer for 150 plus 2 plus powers for the last 2 prizes.
Game 2
This game stats out really fast, he gets a bunch of stuff into play and charges turn one, but im able to verizion and plus power for the KO. This quickly leads into a mewtwo war that made this game go by very fast compared to the last one that was rather a grind. He had eels in play so he was able to keep up on mewtwo and finish off with zekrom and catcher.
Game 3
It starts off the same with mew KOing his thunderus that he charged turn one with my verizion. Then i kill his tynamo and time is called. The game was going to come down to if he could KO my verizion because i was not sure if i could return kill his mewtwo with my own. He just bench's mewtwo and pass's so i catcher and kill another tynamo that puts me 3 prizes up when he has one turn, so he coincides.
The match was really tight but it sucked that i had to play a fellow Canadian and friend.
T4 vs Luke with Reshiphlosion
Game 1
He goes first and starts with reshi ex to my verizion, i PONT but cannot find a basic so i just have to pass. He goes sages, discarding energy, rare candy into typhlo, afterburn and attach and hits me for weakness and game, my 100 HP pokemon just got donked..:tongue:
Game 2
I get an ok start but cannot find a 3rd energy to KO cyndaquils so just 60 his reshi, he then goes double typhlosion and quilava, and sets up his reshi... He starts taking prizes left and right and i am forced to stall with things like gigas ex. I get to a point where i have 2 mewtwos and a celebi and he only has 1 prize left, so like all pros i N him to 1. I KO his reshi with mewtwo. He attacks with typhlosion and tried to have me wiff on energy. I switch into my other mewtwo with energy and OHKO his typhlo. He brings up another typhlo and attacks again. I KO it, he brings up his last typhlo and attacks again. I switch mewtwos and catcher up his reshi and KO. He then draws putting him to 3 cards in hand and we all know what that means! JUNK ARM CATCHER CELEBI FOR GG!
I had an N in my hand that turn and i was wondering if i should N his 2 card hand but he had a ninetails so Ning just let him look at more cards and if he hit a fire energy or supporter he would probably have the game so i think i did the right thing. also he had to have had it that turn or else i would have KOd typhlo and that was his last attacker.

I felt a bit bitter about the loss but honestly the matchup is about even if not a bit in his favor, he ends up winning the entire thing so congrats to him. I had tested reshi for my provs but i couldn't get turn two typhlosions like he did both games.
So I end up 4th which is more then fine for a 210 man event but having come second last year and the fact that canada had won both junoirs and senoirs meant that i was the last shot at taking masters and sweeping washington, my bad.
