Tangrowth or Wailord?

I'm here to ask your opinion of these to "Swallow Up" attackers. Tangrowth has its pros of being grass being able to use Shaymin X and Cherrim to keep it alive for as long as possible.
Wailord has its pros of being water so it can attach all of it's energies in 1 turn while it can also be all saved by Floatzel GL Lv.X.

I think both of them are great but I just needed some help picking one.

Or use Swalot LA because it has pros of.... being a psychic type....and being able to poison your opponent....
:nonono:

Yeah don't use it.

Too bad GE Sceptile is gone, otherwise Tangrowth would be beast. Still, I think Tangrowth is better because of Leaf Guard as opposed to Underwater Dive (no flip, does damage). Plus the Level X gives you extra healing power and you could use either of the other ones as "techs" for something. They're all pretty good.

Tangela from CL allows you to attch an energy to it which next turn you can evolve attach dce and hit with swallow up turn 2.
The problem is maintaing higher hp then your opponent but tangrowth Lv X helps i suppose

Then again wailord has a hell lot more hp than tangrowth but it doesn't do as much damage (120-100)

Tangrowth ar with Kingdra prime could rock- Kingdras (my phone cannot do apostrophes) power can regulate the defending pokemons hp for a consistent 120 swallow up.

I reckon Wailord is the play. It has higher HP and with Feraligatr it means possible set-up and definite quicker recovery. You'll need BTS and Rare candy but as long as you do you'll be fine.

Imagine this: You have a Wailord out but he's taken a bit of damage and is a little less useful. So, you use something like Switch / Warp Point / Warp Energy to get him to the bench and put up something like a Crobat with free retreat. You seeker up Wailord, put him back down with BTS, attach his energy again with Feraligatr and then retreat the Crobat to have Wailord hitting fully. Sound like fun?

Tangrowth is fun but too slow to set-up and too slow to recover. Feraligatr almost makes Wailord viable. Next formay i see Feraligatr being used a LOT (as we should, theoretically) have a slower format.

Good luck with the deck dude!

Or even better: bring up a Smeargle with Unown Q attached.

I'd try Tangrowth first, personally. Grass has the epic support etc. I can see Tangrowth working similar to the way Garchomp SV did last season, with Leaf Guard doing the heavy lifting and Swallow Up making the big KOs when necessary. The difference/s would be that Tangrowth has the ability to heal itself freely, which Garchomp did not. Tangrowth also has a not-horrible weakness like Garchomp did. You don't have to put as much effort into setting it up, but can get the same benefit (heal with the X's power and reduce extra damage with Cherrims if you want).

The big downside is that Garchomps could pull retreat shenanigans easily to heal and keep smacking the opponent around while denying prizes. But neither Wailord nor Tangrowth are capable of doing this the same way Garchomp could, so meh.

I've played with a Wailord/Gatr deck and it simply takes too long to get set up. It is fun when it works...most of the time I was frustrated. And I ran bronzor, interviewer's questions, fisherman, and anything I could to get energy out quick.

I have lost against Tangrowth...I would definitely go with tangrowth. It is a B.

You're asking which of the 2 cards is better with an attack that depends on how much HP you have. Typically, one should for the one with higher HP.
Pick Wailord.

I personally think Tangrowth AR is an overlooked gem: If you can build it up, it can be a monster. Combine it with Shyami Lv. X, and Expert Belt, and that card has as much HP as Wailord, but does more damage. And, Expert Belt serves as a double boost: increases damage to 140, and gives Tangrowth more HP, which also boosts Swallow Up. Leafeon Lv. X and the RR gets this beast up in 2 turns. A bit complicated to get up, but you've got yourself a nifty sweeper right there if you can get them set up.
