Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Tauros

Poelpe say it's underrated, i don't think it is. Bad card, bad artwork..
True, it can search a pokemon, but...
It's mentorable..

Maybe it is good.. hmm.. No, wayst (sp?) of space..

I like it becaue it's the new and inproved pulsle but ever since the holon engine apperared in every deck people don't use a lot of starters that can get basics but they either use jirachi or maywile.

i've played against a metanite that used it to break my frontier/legacy lock when i was playing bandoom. quite the surprise.

Jake's right, as soon as ur opponent sees it on ur side of teh field, tehy will be obsessed with its artwork, and keep staring at it, and whiel they are occupied, pick up their deck and flip it onto their discard pile. then pass. They'll try to draw, but sicne tehre are no carsd in their deck, tehy lose :p

why NOT play it in ur deck? AUTOWIN VS EVERYTHING!

That is the first time I realized that.
I am gonna go slap 4 of these in my Flygod deck right now!
YES!

The effect is good and the search attack is solid, but the bottom line is that it sits there and does nothing afterwards. For the metanite player, what also does this? That's right - the Holon's Castform that your opponent didn't KO. In general, these are the sorts of pokemon that you just wish you could discard once you've gotten what you need from them.

Bench space is extremely valuable in this format and can often decide games. In this case, that Tauros may sit there while you could be building another Dragonite, a Metagross, Sceptile EX, etc. Unless you have a Briney ready, you're pretty much limiting your bench space to get rid of a Stadium.

Sometimes, it's worth it. Also, some decks can run Giant Stump(GatrQueen) and take full advantage of having Tauros. It's riskier when you can't take it off of the bench reliably, but the payoff late game might not make it matter that much. Tauros is awesome when used correctly.

Tauros is a great card. I use it in my Ludicargo because of Call For Family alone (yes, I know Plusle does the same thing, that has 10 less HP and is Lightning). The power I barely ever use, but only because I never had to.

tauros is definetely an underrated card. it is a mentorable basic, is a decent opener if you get stuck in that situation, and it sways a lot of matchups, specifically banette/houndoom. it should be a staple in a lot of decks. the only skills you need to play it is knowing when to time it and having good bench management.

I think 1 Tauros and 1 Lapras should go into every decc that has Queen d as a searcher...

tauros maybe, but not lapras
a tauros start isnt that bad, he has one retreat and a CFF attack
starting with lapras could ruin your game for you, a two retreat worthless attacker? doesnt seem like it is worth the risk

1 lapras out of like 12+ basics... I know it can happen and its a horrible starter but Mid Game its like one of the most broken cards ever.
