Strategy: Set up your Torterra and Sceppy and swing away.

Dawn Stadium- Gliscor, AMU, Froslass, Magnezone

3/3 Claydol: With all of the spread like decks out there right now, and with people running Metagross LA, 3/3 will insure that you have another claydol ready incase something gets knocked out.

I do not think that warp point is needed in this version of the deck, thats JMO, and yes I know the 100 every turn by switching thing, but earthquake is a viable attack.

Guys ... Dusknoir is just evil in this deck! Forest Murmurs their active threat to the bench then Hard Feelings it back into their deck. That's a game changing play that much better than having an extra Chatot or Grotle IMHO. That said I would like to see an extra Dawn Stadium in here and something like Poke-Radar or Poke-Ball to speed things up.

I never said to drop the dusk. But 2 chatot and 3 grotle are the play in here. 2-2 claydol is perfectly fine. Drop the ssu for radars.

The only thing I would do is drop a 1-1 Claydol for a 10th energy and 4th scoop. But if you really want to run 3-3 you'll probably be able to get away with it, I just think the energy and the ssu would help you in more matches than a third Claydol.

But besides that I love the list, Torterra is such a great card that's really underrated.

i ran this identical list last week and it was good enough for 3rd but another person bought the decklist from me and won that same day
i also ran it in the grinder (6-2)and it is as good as it can get

You have no warp point or switch cards with a deck that has the worst retreat out there. You have no draw besides Buck's, which is barely real draw (I've put buck's in decks so far and almost NEVER used them- you typically need to use other supporters over bucks, and when you need the 10 damage you simply can't bucks for it- besides, what do you even need the bucks for?). No rowan, cynthia, POV, anything.

3 SSU is cute and all, but wouldn't they be better as pokemon search? Are these your replacements for warp/switch?
1 azelf to get your prized whatevers and to increase consistency?

If it were my deck I would try to make it more consistent and lose all 4 bucks.

I played Torterra today ... I didn't run Buck's and boy I wish that I had. I was 10 short on damage several times and Buck's would have made a huge difference in play. 3 Dawn = manditory IMHO. SSU was good but only game breaking once out of all the matchups I had.

This deck does need warp point, but Bucks is AMAZING in here. the Extra 10 catches most decks off guard!
I would run it over anythign right now!

and no, SSU>Pokemon search!
This deck has enough poke search and has enough pokemon to actually draw them out of the deck.
Azelf is a waste, whats going to get prized?...The Level X?
...please, by the time you really need the Level X, is late game and most likely you would have gotten it out of the prizes by then!

...:nonono:

Needs Warp Point...Turtwig has 2 retreat *ouch* and it goes up to 4 from there, plus Warp is the best field manipulation in the format.

Pokemon search > SSU, you always need a fast way to find Sceptile and Torterra very quickly.

Azelf is a must in here. Prizing anything in this deck is really bad.

I do agree, more draw would be cool, especially Cynthia's or something (at the least, you don't have to waste an attack with Chatot to get a new hand and all). Warp Point I think could be useful, as there are bound to be times you need to retreat something when Sceptile isn't around. Personally, I feel that 3-3 Claydol is a bit much, but if it works for you...

I don't know why SSU is getting so bashed on here; it's very neat being able to save a near-dead Pokemon from biting the dust, especially since you'll inevitably end up damaging yourself with EQ from Torterra MD, and you won't always be healing with Torterra DP.
