I wish y'all could add one on the 1st and one on the 2nd, then I'd be to all of them. But as it stands, pretty sure Oklahoma is going to Chicago for now.

Hmmm....that's going to make it tough to make it...I was hoping they would be more centered around a weekend, but I guess its hard this year with both holidays falling on the weekend.

week long POKEMON play its the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!

and most likely I DONT HAVE TO WORK.....

um so i am guessing no lubbock? :( me sad

Yes Lubbock!! 14 January at Stormcrow again. :thumb:

Wish I could have had tournaments those days too - ah well, maybe next year.........

is there going to be anything in Fort Worth? Or is the Watauga CC taking it's place?

There won't be a City Championship in Ft Worth this year. :frown: Working with venues, times, dates, etc. got a little tricky. Watauga and Irving are the 2 closest. Will work on it for the future.

Thanks much to everyone who helped with the Marathon and for everyone's support and kind words. I can't wait!!

How unfortunate. If I'm lucky, I might make it to two of these, because I'm already scheduled to work the rest of the days. :nonono:

I appreciate you setting this up having us experience a marathon and all, but isn't this event just taking cities which would of been spread evenly among weekends and crushing them into one week. It isn't adding any new events as far as I know. Areas that have marathons generally have a larger player base than us so it makes sense there. So is this really whats best for our area?

Agreed. ^^^^

Two weekends in a row with no tournaments is a long time. And the week of the marathon seems to be more for the college students out of school for the month, not Poke Parents and their kids. If a parent has to work for the week, then the kids will miss out, which means there will be less participation in Juniors and Seniors.

I always felt this game was supposed to be geared more towards the kids to help build the player base for the future, not the teenager who will be giving up this game sooner than later. Also, a lot of families will be out of town for the holidays during that week, so the weekends would've been better for a lot of people.
