Hijacked for a moment.

Attention all league leaders up there, there's a league leader in Denton that needs some assistance with pop id cards. Can one of y'all help her out? I'm running very low but will help if y'all can't. Head over to the league forum and check her thread out.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
 
Just a heads up, all the blocked rooms are sold out! If you didn't get one by now, you're out of luck!

Why don't you play?.. it would be the perfect time to get back into the game. There are plenty of deck ideas here on the gym... or if you don't have any newer cards, pick up a theme deck at Target for $14.

I spoke with my rep with the hotel. If you have reservations for the hotel or need reservations, you need to call today to get the $115.00 room rate. If you have reservations at a higher rate, call...cancel your room..rebook under the "Pokemon State Room Block". She told me that no one would be turned down at this room rate, today. THIS IS THE LAST DAY, MARCH 4th TO GET THIS ROOM RATE!!!

I will have "Theme Decks" there to play if you need a deck.

Well I am just getting back into it Porii Sames aka beedrill guy helped me set up a deck and gonna see how that does. Also got a bunch of cards possibly for trading got around 1400+ cards now lol
 
Would anybody be interested in drafting on friday night? It would cost $25 and get 8 boosters. I will bring energy cards and will provide pizza and drinks. I think I have enough product for 27-40 players. I will give out prizes for the top 2 places in each age group, most likely playmats. The set for this draft is Call of Legends and we could mix in some undaunted also. We could draft or trade in pods. Just open to suggestions for some fun before the big showdown the next day.
 
Hmmm...don't know about CoL draft...but, depending on the details, I could probably get a few of us going interested. Any ideas on the w's?

Food, a lot of people ordered pizza. Go to the concierge desk (main lobby) and ask for delivery menus. Keep in mind that you'll need to hang out near the front when ordering delivery because the delivery driver normally won't go to the rooms or play the "I'll meet you somewhere in the hotel" game.

Parking - I parked in back - don;t remember the price - either 5 or 10 bucks, but there was a guy there trying to get me to pay when I came back after lunch. I played hardball, and he didn;t make me pay, but apparently some of the lots have free back in and some not.

Food - Right before the aurgument over my god-given right to re-park for free, we had stopped at Subway which was near there.

Im arriving on friday afternoon. Does 6 or 7pm too late to start? If no draft how about a pre texas showdown for $5 a person and that will give everybody 2 boosters. 1 booster for the player and the other into the prize pool. We will determine the prizes after we see how many sign up. This will give people a last chance at modifying their decks for the next day after some unforseen matchups. Almost forgot the where, if there isn't a room available to play in how about that wide open area in lobby. I saw plenty of tables down there last time.

If I get paired against Daryl, he's gonna pay for last year. :thumb:

First of all, I almost feel like your are attemtping to diminish the quality of my victory by implying it was a first turn KO. I beat you after a long and valient struggle. I was just reminding my son of that victory yesterday. It was definatly one of the highlights of my pokemon career. From my deck, you would have thought I had specifically built it to beat you. It should have been an absolute slaughter. And then, I looked down and somehow it was like 4 to 4 in prize cards. It was amazing you even made the game close.

You don;t have to worry about donks from me this year. I think it is cruel to knockout pokemon. Much more humane to gently ease them into the lost zone.

Dear sir, I did not attempt to diminish your victory in the least. My attempt was to simply imply karmic justice against myself for declaring vengeance for my loss (as well as for playing Shuppet donk - I can't believe that I did that).
