This year we are having a food drive to benefit the McKinney Food Pantry. Special thanks to Pokémon player Steve Menchaca who is a board member and the volunteer coordinator of the food pantry for his help with this.

For each food item you donate, you will be given a raffle ticket. A list of raffle prizes will follow – be sure to check back often as the list will be updated as I receive more prizes.

The pantry is currently in need of dried beans*. You will receive one raffle ticket for each pound of beans you donate. The pantry also has a wish list of items – please look at the list below to see if you have any of these items:
• Oatmeal
• Peanut Butter
• Rice
• Dried Beans*
• Canned Vegetables
• Canned Fruits
• Powdered Milk

This is a great way for us to give back to the community. If we all work together, we can all make a difference in our little corner of the world. Any and all of your donations will be greatly appreciated.

Please be sure to spread the word so that everyone can take part in this great opportunity – and you won’t want to miss out on the prizes!! Below is a list (always changing - check back often to see what's been added) of prizes to be raffled:

I just received a stack of FREE Circus tickets. The circus is next weekend in the DFW area. Each person who donates will get one FREE Circus ticket - while supplies last.

FYI...in a short time like a couple of hours...MP Birch and MPB3 will be leaving "Birch Manor" and heading to the airport for the "New Mexico State Championships". So, if you post on this thread and need info from me, you will have to wait until Sunday afternoon. At that time we will be returning to the same time...same "Zubat Station".

Those of you that are traveling out of town for other "State Championships", please drive carefully and have a great time!!! Make MPB proud.

So, let me make sure I have this right, I get a raffle ticket for each food item I bring AND a raffle ticket for each pound of dry beans?

Someone could REALLY stock up on raffle tickets.

Speaking of me the being The Beautiful One, can a player win more than one prize? As in if I win the theme deck, am I still in the running for the hotel if I had more tickets in the bucket.

Yep - that's right. So you bring in, say 50 pounds of beans and 50 cans of fruit, you will get 100 raffle tickets. And yes, it is possible that you could win more than one prize. Or all the prizes if you actually have 100 tickets! :wink:
 
Are you ready for the Action? The Desire? Pokemon TCG players from across Texas and near by places will have, one change (at least till next year). To call them self's the Texas Pokemon TCG Champion.

This weekend is coming fast I can't wait. I just got back into pokemon 2 weeks ago and i really feel ready for this event. Its been a long time coming for me.

WOW, just WOW. Hey players, go look in the kitchen pantry, see ALL that stuff your mom has purchased from the store and you and your little sister don't eat? Grab it, bag it, bring it, get a raffle ticket or two, three, four, or more and maybe win yourself a prize. Tell your mom it's for a good cause and she won't say a word.

What we need now is for Krogers to do the 10 for 10 on dried beans, then that would be some serious Krogering as they say.
