Ill do that Cook, I figured there will be alot of people, lets see just how many show up. Me and my friends have been play testing and tweaking our decks for a little while now, hope we have chosen good decks that get us somewhere in the tournament. Though I do wonder what the main deck types will be, I assume to see SP, Machamp, and Kingdra, not sure what else will be played heavily though.

lol, I don't know him at all so I was just using a short of his board name. As to my play category, I and all my friends are in the Master Division. And I was just reminiscing, as from most of the talk I have read here SP, Champ and Kingdra seem to be all the rage.
 
gengar is pretty popular in my area and most of them will be going to states. Most of the old decks from city championship will be there.

I've run into a snag. Originally my plan was to carpool with 1-2 friends up there and split a hotel fee. However, for certain reasons (mis-communication, uncertaintly in plans, etc. ) we never got a room. Plan B was to drive up together, split the drive/sleep time, play at States, then spend the night driving home (splitting the drive time again). However, one of them has to go out of town with his family, and the other is unable to go. That leaves me in a situation.

I cannot drive up alone, and drive back alone in one day. That's too much for me.
My options are now down to:
A) Trying to find someone to drive up with (in the Sugar Land, Katy, Woodlands area) and come back in the same day.
B) Find someone who is willing to let me stay 1 night with them, (I'd pay a share of the price for that night)
C) Finding someone to drive up with AND finding someone to stay with.

Can anyone offer assistance?
 
I haven't really played pokemon since the last regional in Texas but luckily this championship falls on my college's spring break schedule so I can't wait to go. I have no idea what the meta is like and will be using pretty much platinum cards but it should be fun none the less.
