"Thanking" a post

I'm very sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, and I'm even more apologetic for the dumb question: how do you thank a post?

EDIT: I now can thank posts. The minimum post count for this is 10, it seems. Thanks to everyone for your replies! :smile:

there is a button on the bottom right side of each post made by somebody else (so you can't thank your own), with a thumbs up sign that says thanks next to it. Click on it, and your username appears under the post, and there is a box that says " these members say thanks for this post: ". There is also the option to remove your thanks.






just to give you an example, mine is probably down here somewhere (I can't see it myself), and no, I'm not asking you to thank me or anything, I'm just trying to give an example.

Not all members have the ability to Thank posts.

New members do not get that option.

Established members do...

This makes a lot of sense to me. I was not able to thank posts at first and now I am. Is it based off account age or number of posts? Or some other 3rd thing that a newbie like me doesn't know about?
 
Noted, guys. :smile: I might have to reach a certain number of posts first.

@Almighty Golden Garchomp: I'm still new here, just joined a couple days ago, so I can't see the Thanks button yet. Thanks for your help, I'll be sure to come back and thank your post when I'm able to :smile:
