Ok, so what a wild & exciting 4 nights & 5 days this was for me anyways! :thumb:
We roll into town Weds night & head straight for the CC as this is ALWAYS a must for us...lol No one was there that we knew for the most part so we head out for the Hotel. As were driving only a 10 minute drive, we suddenly hear sirens going off...TORNADO SIRENS!! What a way to greet us Ohio! The kids were hungry so we make a quick stop at Taco Bell before we head into the hotel. We get our food, get checked in, unpack, & DOWN CAME THE NASTY RAIN STORM w/continuous sirens. What a scary thing it was, being in a hotel room with 7 people, 1 including a rambunctious 3 1/2 yr old who had been strapped into a car seat for the last 7 hours. All is well and the night finally comes to an end! YAYYY!
Thurs we wake up & head down there to see a few familiar faces & off to begin our long journey down Pokémon Nats Lane! The excitement has now set in...WOOOHOOO!
Fri comes around & now everyones here! But I didn't find that out until almost 4pm THANKS to my Lil Munchy! His asthma & allergies had now kicked into full gear & therefore landing us into the ER cuz I couldn't get it controlled on my own. So that was a nice 4 hr lose of the day for me! So we get to the CC & off we go! Side events are going on & there I quickly find my self on Staff which is always the best part IMO simply because this is how you see everyone! So as the night starts to Wendel down, I get invited to go to Karaoke up at the Hyatt in the lobby so of coarse I go! I wouldn't miss a chance to hang out with some of my closes Poke friends! It seems that as the time went on, more & more Poke people gathered into the lobby to listen. Well we got an AWESOME surprise when good OL Troy L (Sr Judge who wore a Pika earring all day THANKS to me...lol) got up on stage & sang! What a SURPRISE it was...he was AWESOME! Myself & SDPokemom couldn't believe the talent this man has! He was GREAT! He had the ENTIRE crowd on their feet dancing & having a good ol time, it was cool! For those of you who missed out, you really missed out! But....Dont frat, SDPokemom recorded it so Troy isn't going to get out of the clear just yet...lol Sorry Troy, but you really were good! After an hour or so there, we all head back down to the Gaming section & playtest some more. Well not me, I just sat & laffed the entire time...lol Biggens & Flent (I think thats their names) were there picken on each other the entire time. Let me just say, Biggens may be big, but...He was running from Flent whenever he could...lol It was a fun time! Well off to the Hotel I went after having such an AWESOME time with some great buddies! THANKS GUYS FOR MAKING MY NIGHT A MEMORABLE ONE! :thumb: YOU ROCK!!
Sat quickly approaches & now were all here, roaring & ready to go! We now have an OPEN event which was only going to make things better! I thought it was really cool how it all worked out! Reg starts early, everyones in & ready!
My Jr Dylibird starts off w/an 0-2 start & starts to head down hill until he has a pow-wow w/dad. Then his luck quickly turns around for him & he finishes with a 6-2 score & makes the top 32 cut! WOW!!! Was I surprised, shocked, nervous & excited all at the same time! This would then mean that we weren't leaving bright & early Sun morning like I had planned on...lol Oh well, that just gave me some time to see everyone again! :thumb: So I was ok with that!
As far as the other 2 players...My hubby ended up dropping some where around the 5th round I think it was so thats self explanatory!
My Sr player ended up dropping after she went 3-4.
So all in all, we only had 1 successful player this trip which is great considering the competition that was there so mommas happy!
Sun comes & makes for a real quick day at the office which had its pros & cons at this point. Dylibird lost his 1st game taking 45 minutes. Game 2 hes up by prize cards & time is called while his opponent is (stalling as some would call it at this point) finishing up his turn so therefore my Bird was knocked out. Thats ok because he had a great experience playing in the top cut w/206 players so thats an AWESOME day at the office for him! He couldn't make me any prouder! Now, its pick him up off the table & attempt to carry him away, heart broken & all. We hang around for a bit longer then set sails back to the Lou. We had a smooth ride home, although in some spots the rain was very nasty! But we still made it home in record breaking time which is always a plus!
It was another exciting & awesome Poke event as always & 1 we look forward to every yr now!
Props....Man, there are TONS of them so be ready!
-Making it in 2 cars safely both there & back w/out any problems!
-Getting event tickets for everyone EVEN tho it turned out to be an OPEN event...lol POKÉMON ROX!

-My Dylibird for making top 32 cut in JRs & as of now, ranking in the 2nd place in MO, 35th in the US, 38th in NA, 50th Globaly, & OVERALL 186th out of 15889 players listed! HOW AWESOME IS THAT! Proud momma moment there, sorry...lol
-My Munchy got to see Chimchar & Turtwig along with the others all in 1 day!
-Being a Volunteer for the Event! SWEET deal that was!
-Working along side some pretty great people on Sat!
-MIKE COOK...My home state homey for rippen me a new one...I didnt bring any of my Pokemon Baked goods! Im sorry! Next time buddy, next time! If I have to miss a MO event to share the love, Im so there just for YOU!
-Getting to see the GREATEST Granpa Gary ever! (even tho he never sends B-Day cards...lol)
-Being a part of 1 of the scariest/sweetest engagements ever!
-Watching 1 of the coolest guys (Troy L) Kareoke for us! DUDE, you ROCKED that Mic like no ones business! It was a blast, Thanks for letting me hang w/yall, your AWESOME! :thumb: My kids call you Uncle Troy now...lol They Love ya!
-Seeing 6 MISSOURI players make top cut!! WOOT WOOT...the STL was in da HOUSE Sunday!
-Colliln for 3rd placing! WAY TO GO KIDDO!
-Vince for training us all!
-Getting to see my newest buddy again Jessie & her son Devon! DONTCHA KNOW!! :biggrin:

-My oldest son for being a complete PAIN IN MY SIDE & NOT doing what he was sapose to be doing!
-THE NON-STOP OHIO RAIN & THUNDERSTORMS!! It SUCKED!!
-My Munchy throwing up in MY bed just as we settled in to go to sleep early @ 11:30 for the 1st time...lol
-The long 4 hr trip to the ER on Friday! I missed out on a lot...lol
-My 2 kids wasting 2 $16 badges for Looney labs by not going to play as much this year as last! GERRR
-STALLERS
-The expensive food inside the CC-I know its a CC but gosh!
-Kids who cant play a single game w/out complaining their opponent cheated or did something wrong & then the complaining kid NEVER calls a Judge to intervene! Will the Parent ever learn to teach the kid??
-Me for not speaking my mind sooner, MUCH sooner!!!!
-The CC for putting Pokémon so far in BACK of the room...lol That walk was HILACOUS!!
Well yall, I think that about sums it up for me anyways! Thanks for those of you read it all the way threw, & poop on those of you who skimmed threw it...lol
THANKS FOR ANOTHER EXCITING EVENT! I'm glad we got to attend & be a part of it!
It was nice seeing all of the old buddies, & it was even nicer getting to make new ones! You all made my almost $1000 trip worth it!
