Hello! I am rokman, if you haven't met me before... lol and I am starting up a whole new contest for the avid pokemon fans who want to test their fingers at animating!!!

The theme for this contest is...

DANCING POKEMON!!!

example (whipped up in 2 minutes lol)

I will be Judging this contest!!!

DEADLINE - November 14, 2005

RULES
1. Each person can only submit one animation. To submit, post a link to your animation on this thread.

2. In your animaiton, you may use any form of images found anywhere on the internet for use unless it is copyrighted.

3. After one minute the judge has started the animation, the judge will close your animation and review what he saw in the single minute time frame.

4. A judge will review the following in each entry:
a. comedic 5/5 (the funnier your animation is, the more points you will recieve)
b. well animated 4/4 (depending on how well your animation is the more points you can recieve)
c. Does it fit the theme? 1/1

5. Each contest will have a deadline. After the deadline has been met, no entries may be entered.

6. Some time after the deadline, the judge will post up his reviews and announce the winnners!!!

7. The prizes for each contest may vary.

PRIZES FOR The Animation Pokemon Contest #1!!!
The winner will be awarded 4 packs of the newest set and complete bragging rights!!!
Second place will recieve 2 packs of the newest set!!!
Third place gets a random holo rare form the newest set!!!

If we could get more supporters, prizes may be enlarged =D

Their are webpages that can help you do that... I am not sure of any...

But, I use a program called Jasc Animation shop 3...

If you have paint shop pro, you can design gifs. Paint makes the worst gifs.

If you're going to link your animations to this forum, they MUST be consistent with the posting rules of the 'gym. Links to inappropriate animations WILL be deleted...

I am pretty sure I wouldnt award anyone posting something against the rules........ o_o

I had about 30 animations I did back in the day out of the G/S sprites that people used to complement me on, but I don't have them anymore. :( If I find my Bulbasaur one doing its solar beam, I'll post it, but I guess I can always make a new one. :D

Don't forget that the theme is 'dancing Pokemon'. :tongue:

I think that means one minute... -shrug-
 
If you are planning on making your animation in flash:
1. Make it in flash.
2. Go to file-export-export movie or something like that. Been a while since I've done flash.
3. Save it as an animated GIF.
4. Upload the GIF somewhere like imageshack.
5. Post the link here. There ya go.

Please read the rules. You can make your animation as long as you want... i will only watch the first minute though... as Troggy has stated...
