Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The Best X: A New Contest

Team Galactic's Destiny - Supporter

Discard 3 cards from your hand. Then, flip 3 coins. For each heads, draw 1 card.

You can't play this card if you have less then 4 cards in your hand.

Team Galactic's last ditch effort

*Normal Supporter text*

Discard 2 cards from your hand, put one card at the bottom of your deck and put a basic pokemon onto your bench from your hand. you cant play this supporter if you cant do this. after you have done this, flip 4 coins. if you get at least 3 heads, search your deck for 2 cards, shuffle your deck, then draw 2 more cards.

This card has certain procedures that can be difficult, and even if you can do them, you also have to get 3 heads out of 4 coins/dice.

So the next round will continue after the supporter has been judge

Ok this seriously makes no sense
My tropius X got the same grade as deoxys cool form's, afstandopleren's and jameswilliams' pokemon btu they got a second chance and I did not. It was the two snovers that got kicked out, which belong to nnaann and Sar. Animeddr can you explain this?

This contest doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. I'm going to be getting kick out because I didn't read other entry's before I posted.

Sar, it's common practice in web forums to read the thread you're posting in, especially a contest, so that you know the rules instead of just barging in. It's your responsibility to read up on the contest you entered.
(Also, it may help you get a leg up on the competition)

Giratina Origin Forme Lv.X 160 HP :dark:

ensignmerlin: While I agree with you, I must also side with the statement made by sar 86. To me, it does seem a bit like the contest rules changed halfway through and this was decided almost on a whim by the Head Judge. If a TCG Judge were to change something as major as the rules of the game midway through a tournament, this would throw the whole thing off.

The same could be said for the contest. I had a very nice build for one of the starters and a couple legendaries (won't say which ones; still holding onto the design), but opted for the Magnemite build since I wasn't allowed to use it. However, I see your side in that you made a legal card, the rules changed to make YOUR specific card illegal, and then your card was accepted after bans were put in place. Personally, I'm fine with this, but i can see why others were miffed.

Sar86's problem comes from the judging system in general which I will now quote for all to read.
-------------------------

Here is what you will be judged on:

How Balanced the Card is-10 Points
Creativeness-10 Points
How Neat the Card Is-10 Points
Originality-20 Points

If anyone needs help for me to further explain these characteristics, please don't hesitate to PM me or any of the judges.
------------------------

From my standpoint, I see no explicit difference between Creativeness and Originality and this is where sar86 took the hit. I honestly still don't understand the difference or why some people lost points here and it wasn't really explained either (how did I lose one point in neatness again?). A clarification before next round would be nice. And How Neat the Card Is either needs to be defined as how cool it would be in a deck or grammar/formatting issues. It could be read as both.

All in all, please clarify things thoroughly before next round. yes, some of us will still have questions. But the amount of issues in this round has me on the verge of dropping at the end of next round if things don't clear up.

^ Wording was fine. The thing I was looking for was a neater weakness, resistance and retreat. e.g.

Weakness: **
Resistance: **
Retreat Cost ***

Rather than...

Weakness ** Resistance ** Retreat Cost **

Ah. Wasn't aware that a specific layout was required. If so, can you post an example of exactly how you want the cards to look?

Guys, I'm so sorry.
I've been sick since Wednesday and this is the first day i've had enough strength to get out of bed. Somehow though I felt a lot better as the day went along and should be able to go to my local league tomorrow.
I will get to everyone's indiviual problems ASAP (I have a lot of work i'm in the process of completing), and everyone should be straightened out by tomorrow. Again, sorry to everyone, especially shinygyarados, I did not notice that. My mistake dude. You can post a card like everyone else for this extra round, and it will all be posted tomorrow.
Again, sorry for the delay. I'm sure we all hate stomach viruses.

In the ideal world...

Spread your stuff. I don't mind if you write...

Weakness **
Resistance **
Retreat Cost ***

...It is spaced out and neat. You see, I can't say to myself, "OK, this is neat. He gets a ten. Oh Wait! His is neater. New Guy 10, old guy 9. Actually, this person is neater. I'll take points off the other two. You know, when you think about it, that guy is also..."

I don't really mind in what layout or format you do the card. If it is my "ideal format" and it looks like a pigsty then you lose marks.

All in all space it out and use common sense.

I shall say finally. there is no required format or setout, just make the card neat and spaced out.
