The Event Pokemon Info Source

Lol I don't know if it's the same shiny Eevee from '09 VGCs but it has a Modest nature and I assume 31 IVs in all stats. As far as the dogs go, yea, the same ones with the same moves and natures that were released right before Black and White.

AMA and Nekocon were both basically in the same place, East VA. Nekocon did NOT have a cool Pokemon giveaway thing. They did have a panel called, "Pokeholics anonymous", but it involved a costume contest, a brief video from the voice of Professor Oak, and a portion of an episode. It was all handled by a group called, "Underbelly" and I think their website is just Underbelly.com. Beyond that, they didn't do anything for events or the VGC/TCG.

Hey, this is Underbelly... the people that did that panel. Found this forum while looking for news stories about Nekocon 2011. Anyway, we just do skit comedy and such... I mean, I do have a SWEET Ghost Meta Game team, but that's different. Next year at Nekocon we plan on having a Pokemon tournament and maybe a DS game room... we'll see... I'll see if Nintendo can help us out in anyway.

In The Games Department
Pokémon Black & White - Japanese Shaymin Event

For those of you in Japan, or with friends in Japan, there is to be a special event in the Pokémon Centre next month. In addition to the Snivy event going on, they will be giving away the Gratitude Pokémon; Shaymin as a thank you for the calendar year in Pokémon Centres. Full details of this Shaymin are not yet known but it will be changeable into its Sky Forme by getting the Gracidea in Lacunosa Town. The distribution runs from December 19th to January 5th and, if you have it in Sky Forme and show it to staff at the stores from January 1st to January 15th, you will get a thank you card. We'll bring more details of this event as they come

Also, info on a Lucario with it's dreamworld ability at level 10 is going to be distributed in Japan. The ability is Justified, and it knows bullet punch as a special move. Global link distribution, begins Dec. 22nd and has no end date as of yet.

Dragon Eggs

New Japanese Promotion - Various Egg Pokémon

It has also been announced that, in Japan, there will be a special promotion over four weeks featuring various downloads of Pokémon Eggs as a tie in to it being the year of the Dragon. This download is done in the Japanese Pokémon Centres and gives an egg of one of six various Pokémon; Horsea, Trapinch, Swablu, Bagon Druddigon and Deino. It is unknown if these Pokémon will have Hidden Abilities or special moves but we do know that they're Shiny. The distribution periods are; January 5th to 15th, January 16th to 22nd, January 23rd to January 29th and January 30th to February 5th, allowing you four chances to get the different Pokémon

Australian and USA Mamoswine
Pokémon Black & White - Australian Mamoswine

For those of you in Australia, Mamoswine is to be given over the Global Link. This Mamoswine, previously released in Japan and Europe, has its Hidden Ability of Thick Fat and is given at Level 34. It is to be distributed via a password given by Pokemon.com (implying a US release may come soon), and the distribution will run from today until February 16th 2012. We'll bring the password as soon as it's out

Tornadus and Thundurus
Pokémon Black & White - Tornadus & Thundurus WiFi Event

For those of you with the Japanese games, the new WiFi event has begun. This event, to tie in with today's and next week's anime episodes; Tornadus VS Thundurus VS Landorus, gives you the legendary Pokémon that is not present in your game. Thundurus if you're using Pokémon Black and Tornadus if you're on Pokémon White. These Pokémon are Level 70 with no special moves and with the ability Prankster but they do unlock Landorus in the games if used in conjunction with the legendary Pokémon found in your game, if you have not already done so via trade. This event lasts until January 10th so get it while you can. The Event Database has been updated with the details of this event

woooohoooo! so many event pokies to look forword too/up comming, I cant keep up with the updating! (I will have time to catch up on this on the weekend).

Any more info on these would be helpful and worth a mention. And if they do have a Pokie available at Nekocon ( never heard of it either..)but yes, info on Pokies released at any event is good to know about for future things for like tournaments- if anything is "special" like a move the Pokie knows it normally can not/could not have so it is legal for battles. Thanx for this info, any more on this would be helpfull.

On a side note- I got to dig around and post some event Pokies like the shiny Dogs, so, this is an ongoing thread with updates as I get the info.

hey benzo there was a worlds 09 weavile and eevee was for regionals and the dogs were from game stop just before black and white

edit to modify the Mamoswine that i said before it also for the USA!!!!

^Thanx! saw the info, didnt have time to update! (well, now I do.......:)

I have one nasty M2 as it is, this one will be a great addition if and whenever Leagendaries are allowed in VGC into a team. (my opinion, of course)

Any word on if it can be female or not? I haven't ever bought White yet, could be tempting to shell out another $5 (over the cost of a used one at like Gamestop) for an easy Lucario with DW ability, unless Riolu is already out naturally in DW.

Also might want to mention those are its base stats, not lv 10 stats.
 
@Regis: Good question- I would hope that it would be a female, since shelling out $35 price tag to obtain a code to get it is kind of steap to get a DW ability. Not even sure if the code is universal or not, but, at the "buy the game to get it" tactic, it would seem that it would not be a universal code to do so. I am not certain if re-setting in the forest to get it to be a female is an option either.

Some one said that you could buy the game, get the code- then return the game- one way around the money factor..... (didn't really type this info in here or anything........:p)

Well I like having both copies of a game in a given generation, just been lazy in not getting White so far. Besides, dunno how that would be possible as that would entail opening the shrink wrap on a game, which pretty much means no retailer will accept it for a return. I do like your thinking though :wink:
