If anyone knows how to place pictures, please post how so I can make them appear.

Lets face it, Empoleon has always been a great card. It could snipe and deal consistent damage. The previous incarnations of Empoleon had been Worlds Decks, and I see no reason why the Platinum Empoleon shouldn't be.

Knock off is actually a fabulous attack. It stops things like Tyranitar from getting the energy it needs. Jet Smash is where it is at. 70 to anything of your choice. You can't use this attack next turn, but with the Level X, it is no problem.

Here is your sweeper. When you combine it with the PT Empoleon, just ignore the last sentence. You choose whatever you want to snipe. 80 is the magic number for knocking out Claydol, which makes your opponent pay.

This is the best Prinplup. Aqua Shower is wonderful, and Brine is amazing. Those two moves allow Prinplup to actually be acceptable when you have no Empoleon.

This is by far, the best Piplup. It seems that the Penguins were born to spread, and Piplup is no exception. It allows it to be a starter, and the best out of all the basics.

Well there you go, there is the main line. Now here are the top techs for this Claydol sniping deck.

You may be thinking that Empoleon is all about spread, and Leafeon murders it. Here is the exception to both of those. Giratina offers a great attack and an awesome power. If they have no Claydol and you do, slap this down and watch them struggle with their 4 card hand.

Here is the reason why sniping is so lethal in a deck like this. Giratina Lv.X can finish of all of those things that Empoleon sniped, never to be seen again. The body is also amazing. It works great with Let Loose after you've killed a Claydol.

Okay, suppose you can't use Hydro Impact this turn. Here is how you snipe a Claydol. Play this down, put one counter on Claydol, then Jet Smash it. It also works as an attacker in extreme situations.

Okay seriously. If I have to explain this one, then I guess I will. Claydol is the best draw power in the format.

showimage.php

It evolves into Claydol. The attack can work if you get no Piplups in your opening hand, or mulligan a lot.

Azelf is amazing. It lets you look at all your prizes. If Empoleon is there, grab it now.

Giratina is weak to dark, which is the easiest type to play thanks to Weavile. Azelf Lv.X solves that problem and allows it to stave alive even longer.

TRAINERS

I'm not going to explain the staples, but they are here. Bebe's Search, Roseanne's Research, Premier Ball and Pokedrawer provide your draw engine alongside Claydol.

STADIUMS

Dawn Stadium or Moonlight Stadium/Snowpoint Temple provide support to your Empoleons and Giratinas. With a Snowpoint, Giratina gets Regigigas HP, and Moonlight allows it to swiftly retreat. Dawn heals Empoleon which is great at the end of battle.

If I have to explain the Water and Psychic energy, you really have to play the game more. No energy=No attacks. No attacks=No wins

Matchups

vs AMU 70-30
They are too easily sniped, and if Azelf Lv.X isn't in play, Giratina offers a solution by OHKOing them, and damaging the bench.

vs Kingdra 50-50
This isn't that hard, it takes 3 full power Dragon Pumps to knock Empoleon out, and Giratina has them discard 3 cards per turn. If you snipe the Claydol, this is very easy.

vs Magmortar 80-20
You have their weakness, so this is easy. Empoleon can snipe the Magmars to weaken the swarm.

vs Torterra 30-70
This is hard. You have to rely on Giratina for this. But Empoleon can snipe the Shaymins and other support. If you can do that, this is a bit more easy.

vs Scizor 20-80
They totally outspeed you, and want to be at a low HP. Cherrim is easy to snipe however, so there is a bright light there.

vs Dusknoir 50-50
If you can get Dusknoir at 130HP, play Crobat to prevent Ectoplasm. Giratina is amazing here, hitting for weakness.

vs Galactic 50-50
They are much faster then you, but their main support, Skuntank, is easily sniped rendering Toxicroak worthless.

Empoleon has always been amazing, but I predict this version, will take our Penguin friend, over the top.

wanna know something thats really ironic, when i posted my version of this deck idea, it just so happens that i wanted to post card pics too - but didnt know how.

I am using this deck for Provinicals, or at least something similar. Azelf X was way more then I wanted to spend ($54)

I like the idea of using giratina, its dope.
I was thinking of using it with omastar though
so I don't waste a supporter turn with team galactic's wager.
