Well yeah, that was under the whole WOTC and Nintendo transitional year. They had to release sets faster, or there would only be like 7 for Worlds. This year, it has been 4 sets a year, which is one set every three months.
 
Judging my your sig, english isn't your suit either. har har j/k

In all honestly, I'm fine with HL-on, I just rather see ATM: Rock banned or that one card rotated out. The rest of the set is an amazing set with great cards.

If the format is HL-on, the format will barely change. No more blaziken will be a little difference and no more dunsparce, but everything else will most likely stay the exact same.

But yeah, I'm fine with HL-on myself, I just don't think it's an accurate modification.
 
I want FRLG on since now my Feraligatr deck dies. But, you can't ignore all of these people who said that Mike L told them it would be HL on. Maybe he was pulling their leg. :p

It's not like I don't believe anyone, I'm just implying that they're breaking their pattern by using HL-on, if that is the truth.

The only reason I wouldn't want to see a banned list would be that I'd be annoyed to death by all the people posting, "ban ___, save for the format".

Prime, post those points you had in a different thread as to why the format will be FRLG-on, they were interesting points and should probably be discussed.

I agree, if there was a banning possibility, all we would see if Nerf this, buff this stuff...
 
Is there really that much difference if it is from HL on or FRLG on? As someone new to the game, the fewer sets and card scans I have to pore over to find a good combo for a deck, the better. Just as long as my Dark Raticate is safe!
 
Hi folks,

The japanese format is FRLG-on and there are hardly any differences in the cards that would be removed with the introduction of this format. In case the rest wants to deviate there will be card bans on both sides for next years world.
 
It's hard to argue the testimonies that this will be HL-On.


But it sure would be hilarious if PUI announces it's FRLG-On this week. :biggrin:
If it is HL-On I would like to hear why it isn't FRLG-On from Darth Liesik. :wink:

Reasons why the next format will be FRLG-on:
- FRLG reprinted Life Herb, a card that had just been printed in the set before it, HL. Have they ever done this for no reason what so ever?
- FRLG has the starting evolutions in it (i.e. Blastoise, Charizard, Venusaur). There has never been a base set that hasn't had one pair of the starting evolutions in it. This might not apply to before Neo-On though.
- Many of the cards in HL are being reprinted, maybe not with the same attacks and stuff, in the newest Japanese set. These include Walrein, Machamp, Gorebyss, Huntail, Lanturn, and Shiftry. To some, this might look like the perfect chance to combine the new with the old, but seriously, would they reprint these pokemon if the old ones were not being rotated out? It's not one pokemon, it's 6.
- The japanese format currently is FRLG-on (only in japanese set terms lol).
- FRLG has a larger variety of supporters, trainers, and special energy. HL was mostly stadiums and tools. There was a total of one supporter in the whole set and no special energy at all. Base sets aren't built like that.
