The official all year around NFL Thread - Superbowl & Offseason

Because they lack any form of a defense, and don't match up well against either team.

And if you believe past games have any indications, the Steelers beat them in the regular season and the Ravens beat them at Foxborough last playoff year.

That being said, Steelers are being hit with the injury bug, but the Ravens I think have a very good chance to see that Super Bowl finally if they can knock off the Patriots.

If anyone has the shot, it's most likely the Ravens. The Texans are surprising me, too. Who needs an offense when you have a Receiver you can just practically throw the ball up to and come down with an anonymous catch in Andre Johnson or just Arian Foster? That being said, it's not even those players that are carrying the team but there Defense... They have a bad matchup in Baltimore, but it should be a pretty big slugfest for both offenses. I think Houston may have a chance, but we'll only know Sunday. As of right now, I'm calling for a Baltimore - New Orleans Superbowl.

Rofl....rofl....rofl...Steelers got Tebowed!

By the end of the year Steelers were losing guys left and right. By the end of Broncos game they did not starting FS, starting NT, and one of their pass rushing LB was so hobbled that he was playing every other play.

Broncos secondary might be worse than the Patriots secondary.

Tebow's passes were amazing though. They were accurate and on point and went for a load to make the catch AND after the catch went down the stretch. Pittsburgh didn't look anything like Pittsburgh, but I mean... Tebow outperformed his comfort zone in addition to that. I'm proud of the guy. 250+ passing yards & 3 TD's (2 passing - 1 rushing) are nice stats, even though a W is all that really matters.

Tebow time is going to DIE in New England

I need to say no more.

I really don't think so. I'm not thinking that the Broncos will beat the Patriots this weekend, but it should be a MUCH better game than it was the first time these teams met earlier in the season. I'm thinking that after that performance, they'll at least put up 21 points against the Patriots this time around. I'm calling for a 24-34 Patriots win this weekend, but as a Dolphins fan and a UF fan, I'm pulling for Tebow and the Broncos.

I really want Tebow to beat the pats, but it's for completely different reasons. :p

Can you say, 2 potential home playoff games? hehehe

So Jets have Sparano as OC now...you're the residential Dolphins fan MSF45, how good is he as OC?

Don't even get me started on that... I was hoping it wouldn't become official. It seems like all former Dolphins go RIGHT to New York... Now, if Jeff Fisher comes to Miami I'll be even more upset. I may even have to give up football until he leaves Miami personally... I can't stand the guy.

But if he starts winning games and leading the Dolphins to the playoffs, will you at least tolerate him?

Still, Fisher might go to the Rams (which I don't want him at since he could turn the Rams around I think). And like someone said, the Rams offer some compelling reasons: the #2 pick in the draft to kick things off, a decent QB (if he can keep healthy and upright), likely some influence as to who gets hired as the GM, and pretty much the chance to fill a whole staff without the nasty feelings that'd probably come from firing others. Not to mention Niners aside, NFC West is still a fairly week division, though Seahawks and Cardinals shouldn't be underestimated at the rate they picked up steam.

Go to the Dolphins though...well, they took themselves out of top pick contention a while ago (top 10 is still good, but it's not the same as #2), lack a strong QB to build with (Moore meh, he couldn't even keep ahead of Jimmy Clausen at the end of the Panther's last season, Henne is all but done, and who knows if Pennington will bother coming back), and they compete in a rough division since the Patriots are strong, the Jets are better than they've been playing, and Bills...meh. Not to mention a volatile owner and pushy GM...about all they have are a subpar-average offense and average defense is all I can think of. Which can stay ahead of the Bills, but competing with the Patriots or Jets...dunno.

Fisher is too easily distracted by simplicity to lead the Dolphins to the Playoffs in the division that the Dolphins are in. Personally, he has a much better chance at keeping his job by coaching in St. Louis than he does in Miami because of the Powerhouses that the Jets are attempting to grow into and the dynasty that the Patriots are trying to become if they haven't already reached that. The Rams have who else in the division? The spiraling Cardinals, overrated 49ers and the home-field Seahawks?

Unfortunately, according to NFL.com, Fisher appears to be more interested in Miami than he does St. Louis because of his lack of interest in the possible relocation.

There's no way that I can even say that I'm done watching football if Miami gets Fisher because of how passionate I am for the sport. But seeing as I'm a diehard Dolphins fan, I think I may just be done watching the Dolphins entirely until they get new management in Ireland, Ross, and Fisher. I'm just hoping Fisher goes soon and we get a new GM and owner soon... I'll start watching and supporting the other teams I respect. Such as the Broncos, Giants or Falcons.
Losing Sparano to the Jets is bad enough... Lets not make it worse by getting Fisher.

If I were SF's offensive coordinator, I am planning to run the ball about 55-65% of the time. NO is vulnerable to the run. Their prolific offense tends to prevent other teams from continuing to run the ball.

But if you down you have to throw, if the 49ers ever fall by 10+ pts, Saints defense will get real aggressive, 49ers offense wont handle it.

Now that my Playoff Challenge lineup is done for and I have no chance at this point, I'm all for the Broncos, Texans and Giants from this point on.
