Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The Pokemon Card Garage Episode 2: Dialga (3/95)

100 HP is quite fine for a Basic Pokemon, Legendary or otherwise. Quite frankly, Chansey should be the ONLY Basic Pokemon that can break the 120 barrier on a Basic Pokemon. Its HP stat is one of the highest in the video game even before evolution. Forget about Blissey for a moment.

This guy is a genius! :biggrin:

Nice card Frankie!

Nice take on Dialga, here's mine.

Dialga -Basic Pokemon - :metal: type - 100 HP

:ppwr: - Instant Replay
Once during your turn (before your attack), if Dialga is your Active Pokemon, you may draw a card. This power can't be used if Dialga is affected by a Special Condition.

:metal::metal::colorless: - Roar of Time - 50+
Shuffle your hand into your deck. If you shuffled 3 or more cards into your deck, this attack does 50+70 more damage.

Weakness :fire:x2 - Resistance :psychic:-20 - Retreat :colorless::colorless::colorless:

I considered giving it more HP and maybe making it weak to :fighting: seeing as how Dialga takes normal damage from a fire attack in the vgc, but I thought that wasn't necessary.

This Card is horrible, shuffle your hand into your deck and then what - Draw 0? It's horrid. Even if you drew cards the cost of the attack is way to high for the Emboar and Reshi-Phosion popularity.

How to make it better.

Dialga 120 HP
Ability: If Dialga has any Special (M) on it it has no weakness
1M Draw 2 cards - 10
MMMM - 130
W: Fire x 2 R: Grass RC: 2

might be too good.

^Why on earth would that be a good addition? A no cost power that turns a trash card into, not a playable card, but a bench sit utility. The goal is to amek Dialga itself playable, not to just make it worth including in decks, is it not?

Now, with the same idea, you could give it a power that would allow you to draw cards, if it used its attack last turn. It coudl be 5 cards, same number as your opponent, or it could also be a cool disruption power, in makign your opponent shuffle in the same number of cards you did. This would encourage the actual use of Dialga, as you would need its attack to have use of its Power.

Anyway, decent thread as always. I really dont enjoy designing single cards to be playable. I think synergy is what makes the game. None of the proposed Dialgas really mesh well with anything i've seen.

Theirs been cards like in its history added for a more collectible aspect than to play it.

Anyone remember Fossil Moltres?

Fossil Moltres would be a FANTASTIC deck these days. If they reprinted that card, word for word, today, it would beast this format.

Looks like a great Magnifying Glass to me. Now just add a little sun... and a few ants to sizzle!
