this pokemon?

so card says after your attack this pokemon can't attack next turn. Would I be able to assume that means this as in that particular card? So say I have a benched and active Miriadon and I use photon laser, Can I retreat next turn and make a different Miraidon active and use another photon attack?
I mean one could argue that "this pokemon" is the one that attacked couldn't you?

I reread the rules and did some searches. from what I understand benching Miraidon Ex would be a reset and thus allow the 2nd Miraidon to use photon laser. Unless I understand everything wrong I an going to go with that thought

Aside from Retreated getting rid of the effect, the new Pokemon is also not "this Pokemon".
"This Pokemon" refers to the specific Pokemon, not to all Pokemon with the same name.
In fact if the attack is being copied, "this Pokemon" now refers to the Pokemon doing the copying.
